Not as complex as they have been saying… The Optical drive has to be removed before you can remove the front cover to the case, but once you have removed the optical drive there's no reason to tear the machine down any farther. :) You just remove the power and data cables from the back of the drive, then depress that latch…

Also, physically the cards made by different manufacturers are often different sizes. Measure to see if the card you choose fits the case.

The long beep is a memory failure. Rather than camping on a thread that's over two years old, you will likely get better answers by starting a new thread. Use the Ask a Question button. Include the full model number off the sticker than has your serial number, or the first ten digits of your serial number. Describe what is…

Please do check those cable connections to the drive. Those symptoms could easily just be a lose power cable. The optical drives are typically not part of new computers any more, especially with laptops that need to be thin and light. Drives used on those desktops that have optical drives are the thin drives that used to…

Are you a member of the same domain or workgroup as the other computers? Does your computer have permissions to see other computers? It sounds like you need to ask some questions of your IT people…

It would help us to give you good advice if we knew a little more about your system. The one you link is a TC-885-EB15. Is that the exact model you have? If so you already have a SSD, albeit a small one, that is your C: drive and has all the boot partitions. In addition you have a 2TB HDD connected to one of the SATA port…
-
Yeah, that isn't going to help, since the clone process should have done all that for you. With both drives connected you should be able to open them in Disk Management to see the partitions on each. The new one should be identical for all partitions except for the system partition (C:). That one should be resized to match…

Intel Coffee Lake -S and -R, depending on when it shipped. So they started with 8th gen systems then changed to 9th gen part way through the model year. As with most they only support the generation they shipped with, so a 9th gen CPU won't likely work in the 8th gen motherboard.

Does it also show up if you boot into the BIOS? If so it's likely hardware, if not then it's more likely a software issue with the OS.

And how this fits into the Acer Gaming Monitors section? Shouldn't it be in Predator Laptops?
-
You aren't going to reach anyone at Acer here, we are all just other Acer users. The PO3-650 models are new enough that it's not likely to be easy to find parts on the secondary market. What is wrong with yours?
-
Yeah, sounds like you are going to need a reflash of the BIOS. :(
-
Yeah, they did a BIOS update on the PO3-640 that allowed XMP, but all memory on the system needs to be XMP and all needs to support the same profile.
-
Did you turn on the boot menu in the BIOS? It is disabled by default. Once it's on use F12 to get the menu and all UEFI boot environments should show. Select the Debian install flash drive and take it from there. If you have iRST enabled on your system you may have to either disable that first or get those drivers for your…

Go to Acer.com, select Support, then Drivers and Manuals on the left. Enter your model number and once the drivers are displayed, scroll down to the Applications section. You should find the correct version for your computer there.

Yes, just reset it on your Microsoft account page.

AMD never released specs for their SSD speeds. Although they are PCIe 4.0 x4 it's possible they don't actually meet the performance standard expected on those with the mobile versions. Have you seen other Hawk Point laptops that are achieving the full bandwidth? Theoretical should be 8GB/s, actual should be 10-20% lower…

What computer do you have? What screen did you purchase? Did you do the install yourself or have a technician do it for you? Mikä tietokone sinulla on? Minkä näytön ostit? Teitkö asennuksen itse vai annoitko teknikon sen puolestasi?
-
Yes, when you ask this type of question we likely can't provide enough help without also knowing just which model you have. There have been a lot of Swift 3 models over the years, and 2022 doesn't pin it down enough. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like…

Although Acer has the pads for an M.2 socket there, and likely actually has an M.2 socket installed on other laptop models that use the same base board, it's unlikely they have the rest of the support circuitry to actually use an M.2 SSD if you load the socket. You would need the figure out which other components are…
