XC-1780-Query regarding - How to add DVD drive by removing the cover on the DVD slot w/o damaging it

How do I remove the cover on the DVD slot without damaging it?

    You have to remove the front cover .Usually there is hidden clips or screws on the top and maybe sides. 🤔

    Maybe you have to remove the top cover.

    You should have gotten a little bag of parts in the box with your XC-1780. That included the hardware needed to install a DVD drive. There is a replacement bezel for the front. You typically take from front cover for the computer off, pop the dummy plate out (it's just held in with plastic clips) then put the front cover back on. When you install the drive you first connect the bracket to the back and the bezel to the front, then it slides into place and latches using that bracket. Connect the power and data cables then reassemble the system and your drive should show up.
