I look for similar solution for predator triton 300 model PT315-51
If someone will find a way to manual control fans please post it.

You can create config for your model yourself, it’s very easy

Check CPU temp in PredatorSense and convert it from decimal to hex using this site
    https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/decimal-to-hex.html

    Download and install this app
    http://rweverything.com/download/
open menu Go Access - Embedded Controller and find hex value you got on step one
Get number of register where it stored, i.e. number from 1 to 255

Then download profile I uploaded above and change in config app its write register from 219 to what you got

    That’s all  =)

I also think you may want just to delete write register for gpu temp or set your own, I’m not sure it’s required, logic of how to define it is the same

I wonder why Acer put awful fan control in every their laptops, do they have students or low quality engineers responsible for cooling? They really don’t care about quality of what they issue

This method may be applicable to every Acer model unless they update temp register too often

And even with this interval sometime EC can write its value, if you set 0 rpm in full silence can you here periodically that fan try to start?
I haven't noticed fans start during brief testing, though I have hdd so it's possible fans start can't be heard because of hdd noise
I found that I can set cpu fan to custom speed as low as 600 rpm thats so cool)

and interesting thing is that after reboot this setting is stored which means they remembered this value somewhere so it can be investigated where it is for even better fan control

I guess to set both fans to 1000 rpm until 55C this will cover most of the cases on low load and will be really inaudible, you can hear it only with ear near the vent
Aftr 55C it can increased proportionally

did you notice audio glitch like this one
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iU2MGBpwzck&feature=youtu.be

I am asking because it becomes more noticeable after I installed it

Yes I have the same popping sound and depending on the videos, sometimes it's very pronounced like every second, and sometimes it's a lot rarer. Haven't had time to work on it but did anyone try to go to an older driver or something else?

Good news =)  we can increase poll interval from 100 to 1000 ms as I didn’t find any attempts of fans to start. It will reduce load to cpu and system in overall in around 10 times
Now this background service takes 0% of cpu load and rarely increased to 0.2% which is very good

I also removed writing to the gpu register and didn’t find any impact so only cpu register must be enough

And finally I tried several automatic scenarios of fan speed depending on cpu temp and it all works like a charm exactly how it was setup

So now the last thing left is to define what custom fan curve table would be better for users and setup it in the app  B)

Well there is one showstopper here and am not sure that it will be passed so I am going to post what we have now so that those findings won’t vanish
I asked the question to moderator of this community hopefully he will forward it to Acer engineer and get feedback. Without this answer NBFC will not work as it should.

Before you start, be aware that you are responsible for PC temperatures coz if you set fans to constant speed system wont be able to take control over

Also if anything goes wrong, don’t worry. You need to reset bios and EC (embedded controller responsible for fan control), to do it turn the PC off and then press power button for 12 seconds

Here is the fan curve table system uses to control fans

There is also must be one record in the beginning with 21C, below 21C fans have 0 rpm

Unfortunately we don’t know where this table stored in, we can’t find it neither in bios or EC so we can’t change this table
And what our approach is that we overwrite value in CPU temperature register so EC thinks that temperature is different and set fans according to the table above  =)
But this is a register used only by PredatorSense so wrong temperature will be reported only in PredatorSense. Other apps like hwinfo, aida64, Intel xtu, NBFCetc use another sensor and you can check it there

So here is the NBFC profile it’s not even mine and you can adjust it as you want and maybe even create custom fan curve. It suites for PH315-52 and PH317-53
    https://www104.zippyshare.com/v/3PgmW8i6/file.html

CPU temp sensor is 219 register, GPU 221
CPU fan read sensor 112 register, GPU 92

The main issue of this method is that we both, system and NBFC, try to overwrite the same register and struggling for that. So this method is not reliable and only for testing purpose.
For proper use we need to switch EC to manual mode and for that we must know where this register is, this is the question I wait the answer for.

Don't worry @tecBart use this one with slight improvements
    https://www.sendspace.com/file/bjgbkr

You can adjust it to your own custom fan curve just in few clicks

Could you help out with some more details on how to set up the fan curve in NBFC?
    Thanks

    HI I have Predator PH315-52
I tried notebookfan control. Its look its working but after disabled my battery dont wanna charge :/ only discharging but I have plugged AC adapter... When I remove Ac adapter Notebook show 96% and when I put to laptop battery show 100%.
I dont know why but I must "Battery Reset" from Acer GUIDE. Its work and charging battery works now. But I am little sceptics.
Can be problem with registry ? I thinking and my theory is not PH315-52 not same and did my problem because registry after diable NOTEBOOK FAN CONTROL.
How can I solve this and make my config ?
    Thx for help :)

Do I have to do this every time I use the Notebook FanControl?
Do you always do it like that? Is this a general problem or just mine?
Resetting it by holding down the button for 15 seconds as per Acer's instructions will reset the BIOS, battery and everything as a chip to take care of RPM fans. It is so ?
So I have to do this every time I want my computer to charge after using a "Notebook Fan Control" program?
