You can click your start button then type "reliability history" and check the timeline to see what exactly is failing when your laptop crashes. Sometimes the culprit isnt what you think.

In my personal experience Ive found RAID more of a pain in the butt vs any performance gains I saw. Now I always just install via ACHI and designate one drive specifically for games.

I made a video years ago about this (How to) and added display models to the description that worked for that year model. (In case someone else stumbles upon this post)

Given that response it appears Windows is showing your camera having a Windows driver instead of a Realtek driver (Which I'm pretty sure it should be Realtek). What you can try is to created a system restore point in your current state, THEN try to install this driver and see if it fixes it. Download the zip file (NOT the…

@gascn Obviously the best route is to have someone experienced do it, If you're not sure what a EDP connection cable is then I'd suggest having someone take a look for you. It's not difficult and you may find videos on Youtube showing how the connector works but also take note that not all EDP connectors attach the same…

You could also try right clicking start button, select device manager, find the camera in the device list, right click the device, select properties, and select driver, rollback.

CPU/GPU don't take long to cool down and allow usage, especially since thermal shut down initiates when the threshold is reached and not further. It sounds more like a battery issue than a typical thermal shut down. Have you inspected the battery to see if it's swelling?

SOIx sleep state causes lots of issues but I mostly only read about it on Qubes. What are you using?

Configuration manager is spam/pop up ads. Quick Access: Product registration is best done via Acer's site while logged into your user account: UEIP Framework should reinstall with Acer Care Center. If you don't see it in your app list check your "task scheduler" to see if the tasks were added (This has the same effect)

In the meantime you can find the exe and right click, properties and check the box for "disable fullscreen optimizations"

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Acer Care & Acer Quick Access

I've seen recently where the display EDP connection (Display wire to motherboard) had become unseated somehow on this same model. The user simply pushed the connection in to seat it properly and the issue was gone.

If you're in warranty have Acer fix it; obviously that's the best route. If you're out of warranty you could try making sure the barrel connection point (The power port on your laptop) has its cable securely fastened to the PCB (Motherboard) Another thing to check would be to ensure the CMOS battery didn't go dead. They…

Fast boot can cause LOADS of issues. I just today had to disable fast boot to solve an issue with my secondary SSD disappearing after entering sleep. Once you have it off for a bit you should be able to reenable it to regain the benefits. (I reenabled it with no persistent issues)

Does your keyboard show numerical digits on the keyboard where a numlock would be usable? Given the pic from @brummyfan2 it doesn't look like numlock is a feature present.

Typically XTU will run with max power packages engaged to do a thorough stress test on the system. That said most games won't require 100% CPU usage to run properly and typically runs less than a stress test would. Try running a game leaving Predator Sense open and see if with your temperature rise you see the CPU usage…

Make sure you have Acer Quick Access installed also. There's been a number of times that certain functionalities did not work when QA wasn't present (Especially with PSense)

Best bet is a USBC/TB dock, they have some really good ones. It really depends on your model though. If you have Thunderbolt you can have a really awesome dock that can use USB/Video out/Sound out/Ethernet/Etc

Neat! What UV (core/cache/PL) did you apply? Can you give us some details to the config?

If he has the Nvidia Control Panel set to utilize the High Powered GPU for all apps it can also cause this issue.
