Why does my Acer Chromebox or Chromebase boot to a solid white screen?
An issue has been identified with a Google OS update that may cause your Acer Chromebox or Chromebase to boot to a white screen if the update does not install completely. Acer is working closely with Google to resolve the issue in a future Chrome OS update.
If your Chrome device is booting to a solid white screen, we recommend trying to following steps to resolve the issue.
- Download the Chrome Recovery Utility and use it to create a USB recovery drive.
- Put your device in recovery mode.
- Follow the instructions in the Google support article in Step 3: Enter Recovery Mode.
