Flash notifications is an accessibility feature on ChromeOS that visually alerts you whenever you receive a new notification by flashing a color on the screen. This feature is useful for those who are hard of hearing or frequently miss notifications.
How to enable flash notifications
- Select the Clock in the lower right corner.
- Select the gear icon to open the Settings⚙️ application.
- On the left side of the Settings window, select Accessibility.
- Then on the right, select Audio and Captions.
- Locate and enable Flash Notifications.
How to change the color of the flash
- Ensure Flash Notifications is enabled, see How to enable flash notifications above.
- Select the dropdown and choose a color.
- Select Preview to see what the notification will look like.
