Remove the screws for service doors(HDD and RAM), take out the memory modules and HDD, remove 17 screws from the back cover, use a guitar pick or an old card to release the tabs(slowly without breaking the tabs), separate the bottom cover slowly, insert the M.2 SSD at an angle and secure with the screw, reverse the procedure to reassemble.
For booting speed and app load speed up gradation 250gb is enough or not please tell meHi,
Yes, it supports Samsung Evo 960, I have it installed in my A515-51 and runs at half the speed advertised by the manufacturer due to only 2 lanes enabled(it's the norm for laptops).
Anyone here know in which slot can I put new nvme SSD, in the primary or secondary (that's empty)? Original SSD is worthless..c_blag said:Hello, again! As promised, I came back with updates. The SSD arrived today, I installed it and everything works as it should. So the Acer Aspire A515-51G supports Integral M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD (at least my model number, A515-51G-57DS, does). Thanks alot @brummyfan2 for your help!AIDA64 report:
You have only one slot for M.2 SSD in A515-51G.

Yes, the motherboard is capable of PCIe 4lanes but restriction may have been done in BIOS.manuD said:
