One common factor: apparently Acer supports the Samsung 850 series SSD but not the 9XX series. NVMe is relatively new and mostly found in desktops that have a PCIe slot.It does not use the SATA bus. Some SSDs may be hybrid in that they can use either PCI or SATA but the safe answer is to use one designed for SATA.

I have a 850 in my R3 and it runs with an i7 desktop.

Purchased 20 days back .  I presume  i should be getting a NVMe enabled M.2

surprisingly i have BIOS version 2
The pic posted above has ver 1.4 and even support page has ver 1.4
How do i then have ver 2 BIOS . Can that be a problem ?
I tried installing Ver1.4 but error came that upgraded version is lower

After I finish my work . I will back to check Bios version too.
In general , You can not downgrade bios version.
    Anyways,
Had you already change boot mode from "UEFI" to "Legacy" ?
Where's the option to change UEFI to legacy in BIOS
    I couldn't find it
UEFI in boot mode above secure boot
if you can't see it, after i come back to home i wiil capture for you.

but same to you I can't change it too.

I think that it can only boot via UEFI mode
But BIOS on advance tab below AMD-AVM,AMD IOMMU will have SATA config
on SATA port0, Is it enabled?

    Okay guys an update
Acer Engineer came but it didn't work as we know After long wait updated BIOS to ver 2.01 from old ver 2.0
I have a copy if anyone wants in my laptop
    It didn't work then also
Then blamed my ssd  had to make a concerted effort to make him understand that both ssd cannot be bad
Finally he's taken ssd & laptop to service center
As per their tech team  NVMe is supported
Now as per them If the ssd is working  which we know it is then they will change motherboard
I have told not to change motherboard as not even 27 days have passed after new laptop has been delivered to me  I will try to get a replacement from my online retailer from whom I have purchased. The shop has a 10 days return policy but will try
The service center will confirm the course of action by evening
    Will update accordingly

    Hay for more information
I had read in other forum about not seen NVMe samsung

many report about  not seen NVme in bios especially Samsung NVMe

     Explain that

To use the Samsung 960 EVO m.2 as a boot drive you will need to install Windows in UEFI mode and have the Samsung 960 EVO formatted as GPT.

then i search about this i found that default about SAMSUNG NVMe is MBR partition .
So , it can course problem , after you try this please post back to tell me the results, please

Re: Samsung 960 Evo Doesn't Work!

Initilaze the disk and prepare it for use in UEFI.

First off Backup all your irreplaceable data to an external source, if you don't have an external drive Backup to an internal drive and then disconnect it from the Motherboard.

Now. In the future, If windows install can't see an uninitialized drive or hiden partition. Or if you just want to do a clean install the right way...

Then, follow these steps when you get to the windows install screen that asks you to select what drive/partition to install Windows on.

At this point in the windows install where it asks where to install Windows to....

    Instead,

Press "shift+F10" this will open a CMD window ("Command Prompt").

    Inside this CMD window Type....

"Diskpart" then press enter. To open the disk partitioning tool.

    Then Type

"List disk" then press enter. To see a list of all the disks your system has access to.

Now verify what disk you want to initalize..

    ie... Type:

"Sel Disk 0" then press enter.

(In this case, Disk 0 represents the disk from the list that you want to select.)

    Then Type...

"Detail Disk" " then press enter.

(This shows you all the details about what "pci bus" the drive os attached to, what the serial number of the drive is, and if there are partitions or volumes already on the disk.)

!!!!!;Verify that you are not going to accidentally erase a disk that has data you need to keep. Some of your disks may already have data on them that you don't want to erase, in this case, take the extra few seconds to do the following.. !!!!!

*(  Words of Caution: Know the sizes and partition layouts of your other disks before hand, because when windows is booted from other sources such as CD, DVD, or USB; the volumes [formated partitions] will not be listed in the same order. ie...   You previous System partition "C:\" will most likely not be listed as C:\.  )*.     Note:. Windows Install runs from a ramdisk created at boot time by the windows installer you selected to boot to.  So.. Diskpart will show you In the list of drives, the USB, CD, or DVD you've booted to.  But it will not show you the ramdisk.

At the CMD window out side of the Diskpart tool typing "X:\" will show you the ramdisk where windows temporarily loaded the files necessary to run the Windows PE install environment your seeing on the screen in front of you.

To help sort it out you can view the details of volumes and partitions, use commands "Detail Part 0" & "Detail Vol 0". Each showing more detail about the respective structures. Again where "0" represents the number in the list you desire to inspect. After you have correctly identified the drive.. it will most likely be drive 0 in the case of NVMe drives if you didn't already have one installed.

*Be certain you have the right drive selected before continuing.*

    ie.. "sel disk 0"

    Type:

    "Clean" then press enter.

Command prompt will return a message saying that the operation has completed successfully.

    Now type:

    "Convert GPT" then press enter.

Command prompt will return a message saying that the operation has completed successfully.

You should be able to stop here and see the drive Nativity in the Windows install menu now.

    To close Diskpart.

    Type:

"Exit" then press enter. This closes Diskpart and returns you to the CMD window.

To Close The Command Prompt Window and return to the main installer menus

    Type:

"Exit" again, and then press enter.

Now back at main Windows install menu.

Remember! To see any changes you've made while in Command Prompt you'll need to click the "refresh" button.

If you are still not able to see the drive you can repeat the (shift+F10) command to return to command prompt. From Command prompt, open Diskpart again.

    "shift+F10"

    "Diskpart"

    "List disk"

    "Sel Disk (#)"

"Detail disk" or, "detail part" or, "detail volume"

"Sel Disk (#)". Confirmed proper disk now....

    "Clean"

    "Convert GPT"

"Create part primary" or "create part primary size=92169"

(Enter the size in MBs of the Partition you want to create. 1 GB is 1024 MBs so... For a 90GB partition it's 1024 x 90 = 92160. However windows steals 8MBs from every pratition for it's own purposes so add 9MBs to end up with exactly 90GBs of useable space..  But in this case it really doesn't matter because we're going to erase it anyways.)

    "Format fs=NTFS quick" or "Format fs=NTFS label=NVMe0"

(You don't have to label the volume in this case because we're going to erase it. But it does make things easier when you're trying to identify them later if you create and keep the partitions you make this way.)

    "Assign"

(this gives the newly created volume the next available drive letter.) Or you can use the command "Assign letter=Z".  (NOTE: To remove driver letters simply type "remove" to remove the selected volume or "Remove letter=Z" to remove the assinged drive letter from the volume currently assinged to Z:\ this would free up The Z:\ designator for reassignment to a different volume if necessary.

    Now...

    To close Diskpart.

    Type:

"Exit" then press enter. This closes Diskpart and returns you to the CMD window.

To Close The Command Prompt Window and return to the main installer menus

    Type:

"Exit" again, and then press enter.

Now back at main Windows install menu.

!Remember! to see any changes you've made while in Command Prompt / Diskpart tool you'll need to click the "refresh" button to refressh the deisplayed list of Disks and Partitions.

Now inside the main Windows installer menu again select the partition we just created. It will have the same Disk #, Volume label, and Drive letter assignment we just setup from the diskpart tool..

After you have identified and selected the drive we just provisioned, my advice is to erase the disk and all partitions on it. The disk will still keep it's GPT scheme  but this way Windows will setup for you it's own 4 partition uefi scheme. When done properly if you are booted to a UEFI compatible boot device in UEFI mode. Windows will set up 4 partitions  3 of which will be visible inside the disk management utility after windows is installed.

The first invisible partition is a MS reserve partition for management purposes. The second invisible partion is a hidden fat32 system partion that holds all the uefi boot files. The next is the main NTFS formated space where windows gets installed and where user files are stored by default. The fourth is an unassinged Recovery partition that windows automatically stores recovery tools and a recovery image on.
