Guidance for Upgrading the ME Firmware

Step 1: Check if your system is AMT provisioned or not.

Upgrade in DOS

Boot into DOS and find the ME upgrade package → FWUpdate → DOS → Execute Flash.bat
Upgrade in Windows (Intel AMT(ME) driver required):

Boot into Windows and then launch command line with Administrator Authority, find the ME upgrade package → FWupdate → Win or Win64 → Execute Flash.bat or FLASH_x64.bat
Upgrade in UEFI Shell:

Boot into EFI shell and find the ME upgrade package → FWUpdate → EFI64 → Execute Flash.nsh.

Step 3: Re-provision your system

Appendix A: Check if your system is Vulnerable or not

Download and install the Intel-SA-00075 Discovery Tool: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26755

The tool requires:
- Microsoft* .NET Runtime 4.0
- Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10
- Local operating system administrative access
Double click the “Intel-SA-00075 Discovery Tool” icon on desktop
