Why is my microphone not detected for video conferencing?
Some users have reported that the built-in microphone on the AL15-31P may not be detected in video conferencing applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
Resolution:
An updated audio driver is available to address this issue. To install the update, please follow these steps:
- Go to the Acer Drivers and Manuals page.
- Enter AL15-31P in the search field and select your device.
- Scroll down to Drivers and download the latest Audio Driver.
- Unzip the file you downloaded.
- Open the APO folder, right-click on install.bat and select Run as administrator.
Click Yes to allow the access for the application to install.
- After approximately 30 seconds, the APO 2.0.9.1 driver will be automatically uninstalled and the APO 2.0.9.7 driver will be installed. Press any key on your keyboard to close the window.
- Restart your computer.
How to Check What Audio Driver is Installed
- Press the Windows ⊞ + X keys at the same time.
- Select Device Manager.
- Check that the Everest General Mic APO Effect version is 2.0.9.7. This will confirm that the APO driver has been successfully updated.
