How do I overclock my Acer Predator 17 X
Your Predator 17X can be overclocked using the PredatorSense software. The AC adapter must be connected and your battery must have at least a 30 percent charge in order for you to overclock your system. PredatorSense overclocking options are automatically disabled when the AC adapter is not connected or if the battery drops below 30 percent.
Use the steps below to overclock your Predator 17X:
- Connect your system to the AC adapter and ensure your battery is over 30 percent charged.
- Double click the PredatorSense icon on the desktop.
- Choose your desired overclocking mode (Turbo or Faster). Details of each setting are listed below.
- Click the X in the top right corner of the PredatorSense window to save your changes.
FASTER
- CPU speed up to 3.6 GHz
- GPU speed up to 1250 MHz
- GPU VRAM up to 3.6 GHz Note

TURBO
- CPU frequency up to 4.0 GHz
- GPU speed up to 1310 MHz
- GPU VRAM up to 3.7 GHz

Note: Overclocking may result in system instability. If you experience system instability, shut down and restart your system to its default Normal settings.
