<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="how-do-i-use-the-disk-sanitizer-on-my-acer-travelmate">How do I use the Disk Sanitizer on my Acer Travelmate?<br></h3> Some Acer TravelMate series product include a feature in the UEFI/BIOS called Disk Sanitizer. This feature allows you to quickly and easily erase all of the magnetic information stored on the drive. Use the following steps to run Disk Sanitizer: <ol><li>Connect your AC adapter to your computer and power source.</li> <li>Completely .</li> <li>Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press <strong>F2</strong> to enter the BIOS.</li> <li>Use the right arrow key to select <strong>Security</strong>.</li> <li>Create a Supervisor Password. You will be unable to use Disk Sanitizer if a Supervisor password is not set.</li> <li>Use the <strong>Right arrow</strong> to highlight <strong>Advanced</strong> and press <strong>Enter</strong>.</li> <li>Use the down arrow to select <strong>Disk Sanitizer</strong> and press <strong>Enter</strong>. A popup message will warn you that all data on the drive will be lost when running this feature.</li> <li>Select the drive you want to erase.</li> <li>Choose <strong>Quick Clean</strong> or <strong>Full Sanitization</strong> then press <strong>Enter</strong>.</li> <li>Select <strong>Yes</strong> to confirm you want to erase the drive.
