If you are having trouble connecting your Chromebook to a network that you've connected to in the past, you may want to forget or reset the Wi-Fi connection. When you forget and re-add a network your network settings will be reset which will allow to reestablish the connection with the network that is giving you trouble.
To Forget or Reset a Wi-Fi Connection:
- Select the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen
- Select the gear ⚙️ icon to launch the Settings application
- On the left side of the Settings window, select Network
- On the right side, select Wi-Fi
- Select Known networks
- Under Known networks, you'll see a list of networks that your Chromebook has been connected to
- Locate the network you are wanting to forget and select the three dots to the right of it
- Select Forget
Since the network has been forgotten, the next time you want to connect to the network, you'll need to enter the network password.
