Your Nitro 5 includes keyboard function keys that allow you to quickly turn your touchpad on or off. You may want to disable the built in touch pad while gaming, or you may need to enable it if your touchpad is disabled and your cursor does not move when you try to use it.
How to disable the touchpad in Windows Settings
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙or press Windows ⊞ + I to quickly access your settings.
- Click on Devices in the left-hand menu.
- Select Touchpad from the list of devices in the right-hand menu.
- Click on the toggle next to Touchpad to move it to the Off position.
How to disable your touchpad with function keys
Depending on your Nitro 5 model, you can use the key combination FN + F2 or FN + F7 to toggle your touchpad off or on. Each time you press the key combination, the touchpad will toggle between off or on. You can see images below showing the location of the function key and touchpad toggle for Nitro 5 models.
