Reset Your AC Adapter and Update Your BIOS to Resolve Battery Not Charging - Acer Community

How can I fix this?</em></h2><p><strong>Models affected: </strong>A515-56, A515-56G, and A515-56T</p><p>If your Aspire 5 battery will not charge, try the following steps to resolve the issue.</p><ol><li>Reset the AC adapter by unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then reconnect the adapter.</li><li>Update the BIOS to version BIOS 1.26 or higher. The BIOS version can be found in the CARE CENTER application in the <strong>My System </strong>menu, or it can be downloaded from the <a href="https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Acer download site</a>.</li></ol><p><strong>Note</strong>: The system will need to be switched out of S mode to install the BIOS posted on Acer Support Site.
