      Hello!
      I have an Acer Aspire A515-51 and I have installed an NVMe m.2 3x2 256Gb SSD. The laptop came with a 2.5" SATA SSD and wanted to expand its storage capacity, but at the same time, boot from the new PCIe SSD, so I used Macrium Reflect to clone from one to another, but I can't boot from the new SSD now, there is the error INNACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.
      Do you know what the problem could be? Maybe some BIOS configuration?
      (I have not deleted the OS from SATA SSD, I am booting Windows from there by now)

      The 2.5 "ssd has how many gb? It's a bit more complicated to clone from a larger hd to a smaller one!

      It will probably work! However this ssd will work at half the speed set for it because of the hardware limitation!

      Hi, confirmed with Acer that no warranty issues with installing a m2 SSD in my Aspire 515-51G
      They recommended the below SSD's

      Vendor: MICRON SG
      Part#: KN.25604.039
      Description: Flash Disk MICRON SSD NAND 256GB Micron 3D 32layer M.2 2280 256GB MTFDDAV256TBN LF+HF

      Vendor: LITE-ON
      Part#: KN.2560L.021
      Description: Flash Disk LITE-ON SSD NAND 256GB CV3-8D256 FW:T88A101 LF+HF

      Does anyone have any knowledge in how they stack up against the Samsung 960/970 or the Kingston A1000 mentioned earlier in this thread?

      So I'll add some info to my original post

      MICRON SSD NAND 256GB Micron 3D 32layer M.2 2280 256GB MTFDDAV256TBN
      Read 530 MB/s, Write 500 MB/s

      LITE-ON SSD NAND 256GB CV3-8D256 FW:T88A101 - This is NOT an M2...
      Sequential Read/Write 520/400 MB/s

      With the 960 Evo stating
      Read/Write speeds up to 3,200 MB/s and 1,500 MB/s respectively.
      And tested in this forum at 1800/1300

      and the Kingston A1000
      Sequential Read/Write up to 1500 / 800 MB/s
      And tested in this forum to 1600/850

      The 960 seems to be the winner on speed.
      Have anyone installed the 970? may as well get something really quick straight away

      All are good! However the best brands, in my opinion, are samsung and kingston!

      Some notebook models accept both types of ssds! The a515-51 is one of these models!
