Does this mean you get the exact same error message without the SSD? Or does this mean you get a black screen and/or no response and no error message?

It looks to me like every time it's still trying to load the EFI from the HDD/SSD, not from the USB drive. Either that or EVERY USB you create is faulty in the same way, yet you have tried with multiple ISO images.

Yep. I tried with 3 different versions of windows 10 (1511, 1909 and 21H1} using 3 different types of flash drives in 3+1 USB ports (including the type C port using a Type C ➡ Type A connector) 🙁

Let me explain the issues in different scenarios....(1) Without any Hard drives
(2) With OS installed HDD only
(3) With blank SSD (brand new) only
In all the above conditions....(a) Win10 v.1511 Flash drive plugged:
SECURE BOOT (Enabled):
SECURE BOOT (Disabled):
(b) Win10 v.21H1 Flash drive plugged:
SECURE BOOT (Enabled):
SECURE BOOT (Disabled):
With HDD and without any bootable installation flash drive plugged:

I think either (1) the BIOS firmware has somehow been corrupted --- or --- (2) the BIOS chip itself has failed --- or--- (3) the BIOS menu is still not configured correctly --- or --- (4) a failure of the usb or pcie bus serving the storage devices.

The registry keys should only apply to the Windows environment, not the BIOS environment. Windows can load only after the BIOS successfully initializes the basic input and output devices including USBus/drives and mainboard bus/drive.

I deleted a registry key to remove the listing of 7 an app (7 zip) remained in the Control panel even after uninstalling. This might have made the OS crash. But after similar crashes, the OS can usually be repaired / reinstalled with the help of bootable installation USB drive.
As you said, the registry keys have nothing to with the hardware side. Something else could have caused the hardware mess up.

Unfortunately at this point, we seem to have an effectively bricked machine. As @egydiocoelho sorta implies, re-flashing the BIOS might be the answer but difficult to achieve in crisis mode outside the Windows environment, especially with newer machines.
