At the command prompt, enter 'winver'. Please post screenshot of result so we can tell what Windows version we're on.

and it still hasn't been fixed.0

Yes, and unfortunately that is still NOT the ACER OEM factory Windows version. Accordingly, you must still try the other 5 suggestions posted in this link including the DISM commands to try to get the fast startup option disabled. I think you have only run the scannow option but have still not tried any of the other suggestions in that link,

I am going to try every step now step for step and report back but.
unless I am missing something I've already disabled fast startup and I have enabled hybernation mode like it said in the guide.
What am I not seeing? either way i will try those other steps brb later.0 -
You were not able to disable fast startup in the ControlPanel power button because you reported earlier that it was not available.>>>I don't see that last option I see this.>>>>

but I did later do I need to keep these settings like I have them now?
I have fast startup deactivated and I have active d hybernation.

Sorry, I don't recall that you reported this in this thread. Please check to make sure it's still unchecked in the power button app. And why have you activated hibernation? Activating hibernation often requires a re-boot to get things back to normal once it enters hibernation.

So I need to deactivate both right?
And no it was probably my fault cause I haven't been communicating things right in this thread0 -
I activated hybernation cause it said somewhere in the article.0

First, I'd like to know if you can or cannot access the fast startup option in the ControlPanel power button app to disable it. If you can disable fast startup now, then there is no sense in trying the other suggestions in this link. because that's what the suggestions were trying to fix.

Yes I can.

OK. With fast startup still disabled, click on the Windows start icon in left pane. Then click the Power icon. Then click the ShutDown icon. Windows should totally shut down with no LEDs lit or blinking except for the battery charge LED if plugged in. Then turn the machine on with the power button. What happens if you don't touch any keys?

If I don't touch any key it doesn't respond at all as if I never pushed the ON button in the first place.0 -
How long are you pressing the power button? On many laptops it takes a few seconds in order to avoid inadvertant or accidental turn on when simply moving or transporting the machine. Try pressing and holding the power button down for 2-3 seconds.

doesn't work I need to press any key and sometimes it won't even do that anymore and I have to use the pin method to get it started.0 -
I noticed something else when I was looking at folders and stuff there was a folder that said boot with some files in it.
I deleted it before but it popped up again.0 -
Unfortunately, at this point about the only way to rule in or rule out a hardware issue is by re-installing the original ACER OEM factory Windows version to see if the issue is resolved. Since this OEM version has apparently been deleted your HDD's hidden partition partly due to installation of Microsoft's generic version, it might only be available as an ACER OEM USB stick for your specific model from the ACER store if you live in the US or Canada. Price is about $50usd

Okay I figured out it's a keyboard issue 100% now yesterday night I was rubbing the keys which is what I do a lot of times to clean them and after that my lap just went off and I couldn't boot it up again, when I finally did get it it went off after a couple of minutes this happened a couple of times in a row.
I was super frustrated and angry cause I thought that my laptop was finished by then but by some miracle it works like it did before I am going to go ahead and accept it like it is now and be very careful with the keys from now on cause I can still use the laptop I hope it lasts.
so it's a keyboard degradation which is a known problem with acer laptops I even did some digging and watched some videos on youtube I am so glad that I can still use it.0 -
it happened again just now I think I will need to bring it somewhere so they can get it fixed if it's possible.0
