    >>>When I press the ON button it doesn't respond until I press any key whatsoever and then it boots >>>

This still trips me up a bit. What do you mean by 'then it boots'? Does the ACER boot logo show or not?

nope it does not respond at all until I press any other key doesn't matter what key.

so I press the on button nothing happens then after I press another key it starts working.

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do'. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down an uncheck the box for fast startup. Then shut down Windows normally.

Go to the elevated command prompt. Enter 'powercfg -h on'. Then shutdown Windows normally. Re-boot, And try to disable it again by opening Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do'. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down an uncheck the box for fast startup. Then shut down Windows normally.

I did it with the help of that website it also did not work and it seems like it takes just a bit longer to startup I remember it being faster.

Try the 'powercfg -h on' command again. Make sure it doesn't throw any error messages and that the C : \xxxx\>_ prompt underscore blinking returns after entering the command.

Seems to be stuck in fast start for some reason.

    (1) Was BIOS v1.18 already on the machine when you first got it?
    (2) Shut Windows down normally. Remove charger. Re-insert paperclip again in reset pinhole for 60seconds this time, while at the same time pressing and holding the power button. Then do NOT plug the charger back in. Does it turn on first time with the power button alone?

OK. Now try this. Shut Windows down normally. Remove charger. Re-insert paperclip again in reset pinhole for 60seconds this time, while at the same time pressing and holding the power button. Then do NOT plug the charger back in. Does it turn on first time with the power button alone?

Yeah, that's because it's probably getting stuck in fast startup mode which doesn't completely power down the machine. Just enough power to keep some RAM memory loaded so it doesn't have to be loaded again at the next boot. The pinhole power button reset trick clears this RAM memory so it has to be loaded again at the next boot --- this is a normal boot. Takes a bit longer than fast boot but less prone to problems like this and less likely to drain the battery if the laptop is unused for a week or two.

So, go to this link and try solution #4 first to see if the scannow command can repair any power configuration system files that might've been messed up during the update a few days ago. https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmanager/disable-fast-startup-windows-10.html
