how much does it cost on average to replace a keyboard at an acer service center or whatnot?

Mainly depends on labor rate for your location.  The keyboard hardware itself is cheap. Plus as mentioned before, I don't think it's a hardware issue just from your descriptions of the issue near the beginning of your thread.

When I searched google and youtube and my model aspire it always had something to do with a faulty keyboard.

Yeah, but you can search keywords for just about any brand and model and faulty keyboard and you'll likely find it always had something to do with a faulty keyboard.. Besides, none that you found was your own keyboard. I still don't think it's faulty from your original description.

Getting back to your question. New keyboards are cheap. Less than $20usd. So it'll be the tech labor time involved in diagnosing the problem and fixing it. If I was the tech working on it in front of me, the first thing I'd do is make sure the keyboard operated OK in the BIOS menu. If it does work OK then I'd be pretty certain it's a software problem, not hardware. Then I'd be trying hard to get a copy of the original ACER OEM Win10 USB installation stick and install it to make sure it's back to working order. Then I'd make sure System Protection is turned on so I could identify which update was messing the keyboard up and blocking it till a future update fixes the issue. I'd probably bill you for 3-4 hours labor time at the going rate plus whatever ACER charges for the USB stick.

One more question and it's not that I am doubting you or anything cause I already know you know more than me but how are you sure it's a software issue?

I can never be 100% sure of just about everything. That's why I said I still don't think it's faulty from your original description. If you want me to go back through 5 webpages of comments in this thread to justify why i think it's not a hardware issue, I probably can but it probably won't be too productive. it's my best guess is about all I can say. If I had the laptop in front of me to work on I could probably be more certain but that's not possible.

Like you said in your very first post, >>>So since a couple of days I am having this issue it's not that big of an issue but still...>>>, So you have to decide if it's worth pursuing this further by trying to acquire and buy the original  ACER OEM factory Windows version to see if the problem goes away which is my best guess. Or if you want to take it to a technician to replace the keyboard hardware which seems to be your best guess for solving the problem.  Your decision. Either live with the annoyance for the time being or spend money to try to solve the annoyance. No 100% guarantees.

I understand what you are saying but when I made that post my laptop didn't shut down or else I would have let it go by now it's acting different the last 2 days that's why I said it.

it's worse now than it was back then that's the whole issue.

Sorry. You will still have to make the final decision on how to try to solve this problem. Either try to get the original ACER OEM installation USB stick to see if the problem goes away---or---take or send it to a laptop repair service for an evaluation and estimate to solve the problem---or---arrange for ACER warranty service if still under warranty---or---do nothing.

Okay I figured out what the exact problem was I am now 100% it was a malfunctioning keyboard issue with acer laptops.

when I keep pressing any key it will work I have find a way to manipulate and having that key pressed 100% of the times what's the most useless key on the keyboard that I can keep it pressed and won't interfere with working on a laptop?

also I am going to buy a replacement keyboard online as of know I can't even find it online maybe on ebay but I can't order it right now I need mail a webstore and ask for it I will have to order it and replace the keyboard myself it's a hard job I have watched videos on youtube on how to do it and it's tricky as hell.

but If I watch the videos 10+ times I will manage this so it was a keyboard malfunction 100%

what's the one key I can keep pressed in all the time does anybody know???

There is also a trick I have seen on youtube where you can disable all the keys withoutht disabling the ON key I could do that and hook up an external keyboard this will be my final option if everything else does not work.

Really this is a know acer issue and I am not happy with this this could have been build in a completely different way I also read that these keyboards are notoriously horrible to replace.

OK. But I still think trying to get the original ACER OEM factory installation USB  for this model might save you a lot of trouble trying to replace OEM proprietary hardware that maybe only needs OEM proprietary software to fix the issue.

I still don't understand how this translates to a defective keyboard which is a known issue it's hardware there are a couple of videos on youtube that talk about this issue.

The keyboard is a piece of hardware connected to the proprietary ACER mainboard hardware. The proprietary ACER mainboard depends on proprietary ACER OEM software. You don't have ACER OEM software installed anymore. You have generic Microsoft software installed.

You can find this "known issue" with other manufacturers like Dell, Asus or HP if you do the same searches but with their names instead of Acer. They all sometimes have problems with keyboards connected to their own proprietary mainboards when generic Microsoft non-OEM software is used.

Does the reset pin hard reset or soft reset?

    Depends on the pin.
