Don't mind the second question as I found out how to fix it in another discussion in the community.
But please try to clear my doubt on the first question.

Watching at which resolution is the overall best for the laptop.

Yes, any resolution that's comfortable. If you don't detect a problem with D, it's probably OK. You can run chkdsk d: from the command prompt to see if it will pick up any errors. Jack E/NJ

Resolution doesn't matter to the laptop, only to your eyes. Jack E/NJ

    It's not a charger it's a wireless usb connecter like a pwndrive.

It's fine too. Won't drain the battery as long as you're plugged in. Jack E/NJ

    Hi,
I had a problem with my microphone that is I could listen normally in it but the mic was not working, so I tried it on my brother's laptop and it's working fine in his laptop. That means the problem is with my laptop, right; I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL IF ANYBODY REPLIED QUICKLY, AS I AM A STUDENT AND  HAS CONFERENCES DAILY.

Unless your brother's laptop is the same as your's, it doesn't mean the problem is your laptop. What brand & model is your headset? Jack E/NJ

Simply right click on the speaker icon in the tray. Click recording devices. In the box that pops up, make sure the headset mike is checkmarked as enabled. Jack E/NJ

Do you have a speaker icon in the tray? If not, click the up carret to reveal hidden icons. Right click on the speaker icon. Then choose recording devices. Jack E/NJ

Hi jack, I   do have a sound icon. This is it right?
And when I right click on it, this popup comes, which one is it that you are telling me about?

Open ControlPanel. Search 'sounds'. Click 'change soundcard settings' in left. Click recording tab in box that pops. Please post screenshot of result. Jack E/NJ
