I looked at the link, but it is for a really old Acer TravelMate 3210z, which uses DDR2 - which has not been used in laptops for at least 10 years. SO .. I will keep searching for a more current version of InsydeH20 UEFI/BIOS error codes.

StevenGen: I believe it IS an Insyde H2O BIOS/UEFI. Thanks for the reply.

You have to disable Intel's "RST .." option and that should automatically change the "SATA Data" from RAID to ACHI. I think that is on the second tab screen in the BIOS/UEFI. However, if you have any data on drives (HDD/SDD) using RAID, you will need to back them up first. Once that RAID setup/connection is removed, it's…

What ... a HDD on a gaming laptop ??? Need to go to m2 NVMe SSD, or at least SATA SSD. 1) first thing I would do is a memtest 2) Pull the cover off (with the laptop powered down) and free spin the fans - if any resistance, you gotta bad fan. OR it's full of gunk. Maybe a busted fin. 3) If your AC charger is not putting out…

what do you mean " Run great until i plug it in" ??? Are you running on batteries, and then plug it into AC ??

If you are overclocking, you can expect it to run very very hot. Are you using an m2 NVME SSD? Is it running hot also ??

one end has a small connector, one end has a larger 4-pin connector. Part number "DC301010O00" came back as for "Acer Aspire A515-51;53 A615-51 DC-in power jack charging port (cable)". ---- eBay has them .. I reckon Amazon does too .. but don't get ripped off on high prices. Just match up ends based on the one you removed…

Acer part numbers use the first 11 or 13 characters of that QR code ... I found several cables listed using "DC301010O00"

* I have never seen a battery in any HDD or SSD ... * Are you getting a specific error message or code, or a beep code at post ?? * Try removing the battery and re-seating it. * what is the wear level of the battery ? * If you replaced the HDD with an SSD, you may have "dislocated" the battery connection to the…

1) You will have to have access to a Windows 10 pc or laptop, simply download the last Windows 10 version (MUST MATCH the original installed Windows), 2) If the original version was 32bit, you will have to download the 32/64 bit Windows 10. 3) It is simpler to just create a bootable Win10 install USB via the Win10…

bull ***** on laptop cooler being useless. I have a 6-fan laptop cooler and it keeps my laptop down from 70(c) to around 40(c) sometimes lower. I've been using it for 6 months (it's on 24x7) and it works. Just have to find the right cooler. And it IS running cooler, cuz the areas around the left side used to get real hot,…

Does the BIOS/UEFI settings (first screen) show SATA = RAID ??

Texto original: This is a rather convoluted way to get Windows 10 USB Boot drive. Just let the "Windows 10 Upgrade / Install" process create the USB boot drive. It will save you umpteen hours of time and it's a lot quicker in the long run. I have two USB W10 installs, 1 for 64bit only, 1 for 32/64 bit cuz I have a laptop…

1) Which version of Windows 10 did you install ? You need to use 64bit of Windows 10 for the Nitro 5. 2) You need to use GPT formatted hdd for Windows 10 64 bit. (UEFI and not legacy) ... 3) If you have both Linux and W10 Installed, would recommend changing the UEFI/Boot (BIOS) Boot drive so W10 is first. 4) If you do NOT…

Thanks for the suggestion, however .... ... 1) The Acer Quick Access is NOT trying to restart the "RMsvc", it is trying to STOP it ... not the same functionality. 2) Running the Quick Access install "As Adminstrator" made no difference3) Manually trying to STOP the service failed with the same message -- with different…
