Well as the predator went to the kid , i technically don't have one to join in the discussions , saying that i learnt alot from that machine, still say it's one of the best customizable pre-builts. So if anyone ever needs advice i'll always be on hand. Anyway bud good hearing from you, and hope you get a nice monitor…

All is good bro, hope you're doing well too and enjoying the holiday season!
-
It's true those are just extras , and it's a direct fit, however the predator symbol on the front of the case will still light up as it's connected directly to the power supply
-
Yes that's intels base spec for the z690 too, however with a decent MB with good overclocking features, even the acer base ram with no XMP profiles on it can be overclocked easily, with stability, as i'm running in a config of four sticks. Also worth noting most if not all prebuilt manufacturer MBs don't allow ram…

Yea it will fit, look at getting a 1000w psu even if 850w is recommended for some card variants, Seasonic make great PSUs and they also make the Asus Thor PSU, i use the Thor 1200w , never had coil whine or any problems with any of the 4090s.
-
@Chris85_AcPc The card will fit, you'll probably need to remove the right bracket which attaches to the case. I used a Asus thor 1200w which is made by seasonic and never had any coil whine or issues with the 4090s i tried in the predator chassis, also you may need a anti sag stand to place under the right of the card if…

Yea that's what i mean, Aura sync will only pick up those vesta ii ram modules, it won't pick up any other argb if using the acer MB , only way you can use other argb other predator sense is through a hub or direct connection to the Aorus waterforce aio , as the the gigabyte center will pick it up.

No problem dude, but i don't think it will bottleneck @4400 , with a i9 12th and a 4090 if you game at 4k it won't bottleneck from experience and should keep you going for a good while!
-
@PredatorJoe Cheers buddy appreciate it , so to answer the questions about upgrading the predator - It just worked out of the box, i don't think you need the Hub that came with the AIO as the Aura software reads the MB, however you'd be using the Aura sync just for the RAM, if you don't get the AIO. The Acer bios is…

Hi so in my predator it is running the stock MB and gets Asus aura sync working with it. Ended up passing the predatpr down to the kid with a 3090 so he's pleased it and i build this mostly msi based machine ( non rgb ram, 64gb overclocked without xmp profile )

It's definitely empty you can any install any 2.5 inch ssd into that plastic shell.
-
check out this topic, it might help you quite a bit with what you need
-
It's bay for a ssd that you can take around with you, although you need to get a drive and put it inside, personally i didn't use the feature on my PO7.

Thats a incredible build Steve, must of taken alot of time and patience. I get frustrated doing a simple air build so water isn't a good mix for me lol! So i tend to stay away from it and using liquid metal Cheers dude, yea he's defo looking forward to it

@Oncecimber The freezing and artifacts once it's under loads points at over heating , caused by the Graphics card or RAM, i'd say it's the RTX 3070 as soon as it goes under load, the samsung memory chips used on these run very hot and if the thermal pads aren't aligned corrected they will artifact and freeze the system,…

Everything you'll need should come with the cooler, you'll have to remove the motherboard to install the cooler backplate, it's not hard once you get started and the best tip is actually to just take your time, work around the board disconnecting the various connections, then unscrew the board keeping them safe and the…
-
@sixtysilver4 It can fit any 240 AIO without issue, if you get one which requires a usb 2.0 you can either get the pin outs and connect it direct or take the more cautious approach of getting a wire which converts one of the usb 3.0 to 2.0 , i chose the latter when i was still using the Predator motherboard, i've gone for…
-
@mwozza06 Take out the small flat battery on the board for 5 minutes , put it back in and try.
-
It's a simple transplant, i was initially concerned with the front panel headers for the power switch but that was a direct fit too.

Yo dude that looks absolutely awesome, you see that gap on the top , if you get a pcie dust cover , you only need 1 it will fill that slot - Here's a link if you want to check it out, although you can use one from another case if you got one laying around - Also just for reference that case can fit any size card in a…
