The power supply is built into the monitor, so can;t affect the other monitor.

Boy, that is an oldie, not quite old enough to drive or drink, but into it's teens anyway. :) Here are the power supplies Acer shipped with it: The key is a 19V@65W supply, with the 5.5mm barrel connection that has a 1.7mm hole in the center. They are pretty standard for that age and should be easily found. You might try…

That doesn't look like an all in one PC at all. What computer do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. I''m guessing one of the Predator models, likely with the ATX12VO supply?

Yes, the M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe. SATA runs at x1 speeds, NVMe runs at either x2 or x4 speeds, so there's little reason to use a SATA.

Acer shipped any of several different SSDs in the SFG14-71 models: Yours is one of the 512GB versions, so either the Kingston or Western Digital. Kingston specs are Gen 4 PCIe NVMe, up to 3,700MB/s read, 2,600MB/s write, WD are 5,000 and 4,000. It sounds like you have the Kingston installed on your machine. There are…

Do you occasionally use a mouse with your Chromebook? If it's wireless and you leave the dongle inserted the OS will think the mouse is still connected, turning off tablet mode.
-
Maybe the phone is dropping when it switches from one tower to another, and the Chromebook then decides the connection isn't to be trusted due to the change?
-
That's a really old tablet, so cases likely aren't going to be easy to find on the main venues. Places like eBay are likely your best bet.

First big question, why do you need the SN or SNID? A "classic Acer Aspire" desktop is very, very unlikely to still be in warranty, and that's the only thing those numbers are used for. It's possible the motherboard was replaced at some point, not by Acer, and so the numbers didn't get written to the BIOS.
-
Too bad you had to resort to paying for a tech, but at least it's sorted and you are back up and running. :)

For the Veriton X2660G models, the beep codes are: So one long and one short beep shows that the BIOS is corrupt. If it will not boot farther the CMOS chip will have to be reprogrammed. Many technicians have the tools to reflash a chip, but most end users do not.

You have to contact Acer directly. We are all just other Acer users, not Acer itself.

I don't believe it's a monitor problem, much more likely is an issue with the Nvidia driver, since that's what changed to cause the problem. Look at the settings there to see if it's doing anything wonky.

What computer do you have? The newer ones that come with Windows 11 often aren't compatible with Windows 10.

Windows version, or for that matter, OS type, doesn't make any difference for whether you can charge or not. If you can charge via USB-C in Windows 10, you will be able to do the same in Windows 11.

Sure, you can go with whatever size SSD you can afford. There is no real limit to size other than the technology that is available. I believe that is currently around 8TB.
