Hello Friends,

Could you please help me with the following issues?

  1. My Acer Aspire Z3-715 All-in-One desktop is very slow. Would it be better to upgrade both the HDD to an SSD and the RAM, or just the HDD to an SSD?
  2. Could you please share the Acer Aspire Z3-715 All-in-One Desktop service/user manual?
  3. My All in one Aspire Z3 715 desktop sometimes restarts automatically. What could be the reason, and how can I resolve it?

Thank you

install the latest Win-10 22H2 - January 14, 2025—KB5049981 (OS Builds 19044.5371 and 19045.5371) windows update, install the last bios version R02.A2 first.

Increase the memory to 2x 8Gb DDR4-2133MT/s if you can still get these ram modules or use the DDR4-2400MT/s type ram, the SSD drive that was fitted to this AIO was a LITE-ON SSD NAND 256GB CV1-8B256 LF+HF which is a SATA 3 M.2 drive and comes in up to 1TB capacity so try and purchase one of these drives for extra capacity or use the 2.5" slot and upgrade to a SATA 3 - 2.5" 1TB or 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SATA 3 SSD drive, as doing all these upgrades will speed your AIO by 100% plus speed. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

These are the ram modules that Acer tested this AIO with, so use the 8GB DDR4-2133Mt/s ram if you can still get this module highlighted below.

Changing from a HDD to a SSD will give you the largest performance increase. Note that the design is old enough that you can't put an NVMe drive in, only SATA. Next is memory, making sure you have enough to run all the apps you typically have active. There were two main versions of the Z3-715, the earlier with a 6th gen Intel CPU and the later with a 7th gen. Either one is restricted to running Windows 10, and security updates for Windows 10 go away this year. You might want to look at replacing the system instead of spending much on this one. The user manual is on the Acer support site, under drivers; documents. The service guide isn't publicly available.
