Why do my Chromebook mouse buttons not work all of the time?

Some users have reported that their touchpad buttons were not as responsive as they should be. Google has released an update to the Google Chrome operating system that will resolve this issue. You will need to make sure your Chromebook is updated to version 51 or later. Use the steps below to check your Chromebook operating system version and check for available updates:

Click the status area, where your account picture appears.
Click Settings then click About Chrome OS. Your Chrome OS version will be displayed.
In the “About” window that appears, click Check for and apply updates.
