Some Acer Chromebooks with touchscreens allow you to use an active stylus to draw, take notes, or input text. It is important to properly care for the stylus to ensure it stays in good working condition.
Things to Do
- Remove the stylus straight from the Chromebook.
- Treat the stylus as an electronic device, and not a pencil.
- Properly align and slide the stylus straight into the Chromebook when storing it.
Things to Not Do
- Do not remove the stylus at an angle from the Chromebook.
- Do not apply excessive force to the end of the stylus with your thumb or fingers.
- Do not insert the stylus into the Chromebook at an angle.

How to charge the stylus - Insert the stylus into the Stylus garage on the Chromebook completely to start charging. 15 minutes of charging: provide 4 hours of usage.
Power Save Mode - The stylus will enter power save mode if idle for 2 minutes. To wake the stylus up move the tip of the stylus over the LCD screen of the Chromebook.
Charge Pin - Rechargable stylus have a charge pin that must be undamaged and properly aligned in order for the stylus to charge properly. You can see the location of the charge pin below.
