Some Acer Nitro gaming notebooks allow you enable LCD Overdrive for a smoother gaming experience. LCD overdrive is a technology that helps to reduce the response time of LCD displays, which can lead to less motion blur and smoother image transitions.
You can set LCD Overdrive which boosts the screen response times to 3 millisecond, resulting in faster pixel transitions and less motion blur. This can be especially beneficial for gaming and fast-paced video content. Use the instructions below to turn on LCD overdrive in NitroSense.
- Press the NitroSense key or select NitroSense from the start menu to launch the software.
- Click on Settings ⚙in the top right corner.
- Click on the toggle button to the right of LCD Overdrive to turn it to On. The toggle should change from black to red to show the feature is on.
Note: LCD overdrive may result in some visual artifacts, such as overshoot or ghosting, where images can appear to have trailing effects. Additionally, enabling LCD Overdrive will reduce battery run-time.
