Can I use a mobile (4G/5G) connection and Ethernet WAN on my Acer Predator Connect X5 at the same time?
The Acer Predator Connect X5 supports Dual WAN, which allows you to use your mobile 4G or 5G and Ethernet WAN connection at the same time. To do so, you need to enable Dual WAN mode (1), and set it as failover (2a) or load balance (2b).
1) How to Enable Dual WAN Mode on Your Acer Predator Connect X5
- Go to your web browser.
- Type either 192.168.76.1:8080 or http://connect.acer in the search bar.
- Log into the Connect X5 using the password that can be found on the bottom of your device.
- Click on the WAN tab in the dashboard.
- Go to Dual WAN setting, and switch the Dual WAN toggle ON.
- Then click on the Apply button.
2a) How to Set Dual WAN Mode as Failover on Your Acer Predator Connect X5
- Follow the steps of section 1: How to Enable Dual WAN Mode on Your Acer Predator Connect X5.
- Then go to Mode, and select Failover.
- Here you can also manually change the:
- Check interval
- Number of failures before WAN failover
- Number of successful ping of primary WAN before switch back
- Click on the Apply button to apply the settings you made.
2b) How to Set Dual WAN Mode as Load Balance on Your Acer Predator Connect X5
- Follow the steps of section 1: How to Enable Dual WAN Mode on Your Acer Predator Connect X5.
- Go to Mode, and select Load Balance.
- Then click on the Apply button to apply the settings you made.
