Acer V17 Nitro systems are equiped with a safety mechanism that will remove battery power if the upper case is not securely snapped and screwed into place. The computer will still receive power from the AC adapter; however, the battery will not charge or discharge. The safety mechanism is controlled by a screw in the lower case. If you are experiencing an issue where your system will work on AC power but will not charge or work on battery power, we recommend making sure the lower case is secured and the screws in the lower case are all tightened completely.
