@xapim i just recently installed a new 1tb ssd should i back that up to? all it has is my game files which i think i can just redownload once a fresh wipe is installed Im just hoping if i decide to fresh wipe that it all works again but i think either my nvidia drivers broke it or windows

If you reset to acer factory (fresh install not keeping your files) it will delete everything and go back to the same windows version you had when you got it the first time as i said backup everything u need first

i factory reset and downloaded your gpu driver version but no luck still doesnt show the gpu running unless im using a application thats running the gpu so basically the gpu is asleep unless i connect it to my monitor so the monitor uses my gpu or unless i run a gpu application that makes it show

@xapim also im guessing you have something always running on the gpu when using msi afterburner because if my gpu isnt running anything and is idle the usage and temps wont show up on msi but im going to use throttlestop and try to undervolt real quick

It will always show the temps either idle or not my gpu its on 40/43 when idle and the lowest 35/37

the thing is though i cant see my gpu temps without having something running for the gpu to be active do you know anyway to fix this? my gpu always shows idle unless running a program that uses the gpu and also for one of the pictures you posted i copied your throttlestop settings set the voltages to -80.1v for cpu core and cache and set -60.5v for the intel gpu but why for FID it only shows you have 4 instead of 8?

@xapim like for the FID mine shows all my threads im guessing thats what they are.

GPU is used only when there is a program using the GPU, or you are connected to an external monitor using the HDMI port - so this is normal to see GPU idle when it is not being used.

Also, TS applies only to CPU (undervoltage to IGPU too). Predator Sense shows DGPU (dedicated GPU). The changes you make in TS do not effect the DGPU.

@sri369 i have a gtx 1060 and since i have a gpu program running so the msi after program will show the temps im going to undervolt my gpu while the program is running so i know that it is working i watched hotel heros video on the undervolting gpu and what do you think is the best profile for me if i wanna reduce cpu and gpu temps to the lowest possible? the profiles are "Max Q" "Stock Performance" and "OverClock/Undervolt"

@sri369 the profiles are "Max Q" "Stock Performance" and "OverClock/Undervolt"
I am sorry, but I cannot answer that. I did not follow any of those profile guides. I tamed the GPU frequency/voltage graphs to the optimal levels on my system.

Also, personally, I do not believe in peak performance all the time. I prefer a system that is silent using minimal resources when idle, ramp up as needed, and go to peak when needed and then ramp down once the need is over.

And most importantly... a custom power plan created out of *balanced* and customized.

@sri369 well i just undervolted by -0.80v on cpu and cache and -0.60v intel gpu played overwatch for about 10-15 minutes and temps spiked up to 93 with cpu undervolt and i dont know if the gpu undervolt is working
