You can also undervolt the gpu by modifying the curve on MSI AB you will find videos in the same youtube channel about it

    https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11532543

    UserBenchmarks: Game 43%, Desk 61%, Work 40%
    CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ - 63.5%
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti (Mobile) - 41.9%
    SSD: WDC WDS200T2B0B-00YS70 2TB - 71.4%
    HDD: WD WD10SPZX-00HKTT0 1TB - 93.7%
    RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C15 2x16GB - 76.8%
    MBD: Acer Predator G3-572

I'm not an Acer employee. (just here to help in the best way i can)
If my answer fixed you issue please accept it for any other users who search for it would find it quickly thanks :)

One of the links in my signature allows you fine tune your GPU.

getting heated to 98c while playing ac origins and farcry 5 in high graphic settings(not ultra high) i am getting afraid that it may cause any damage to the internal components of the laptop please suggest me a suitable answer my laptop is just 4 days old right now,i even set the fan mode at max with cool boost on,and i usually play games with charger connected in,i need a quick solution for this issue please help me finding out :'(
Just got the laptop a week back. Initially during setting up windows, updates etc i noticed the fans to be always running at 4k RPM, which is surprising as the usage was near -idle scenarios and i was skeptical about the purchase. Installed Steam>Dota2 and ran the game, CPU temps were touching 82-87°C (FPS was high and smooth, but heavy fan noise and temps). Dota2 is not a ultra heavy demanding game. Experimented here and there a bit and reduced maximum processor state in Power Options> Advanced Settings from 100% to 99%, somehow this disables Intel TurboBoost. Now in idle conditions, the fans are silent and idle temps is 40-45°C and in dota2 (max settings, played for 2 hours straight) the temps are not crossing 65°C (fan speed 4k rpm). Maybe you can try the same.

Hello, I bought my Acer predator helios 300-PH315-51 a couple of months ago and both the CPU and GPU are reaching temperatures of 95+ degrees after playing for 10-15 mins. I usually play for 6+ hours and games like- Elder Scrolls Online, Assassin's Creed origins and odyssey, and a couple of other newest AAA titles. The FPS starts at 60+ but they drop to about 10-30 within a few minutes of gameplay. Also i get sudden bursts of lag which make the FPS drop to below 10 and it lasts for a few seconds before returning to the 30 range. I also noticed that reducing the video quality of the game has no effect on the performance as i tried it even on older games such as- World of Warcraft- cataclysm and Elder Scrolls-Skyrim. I have read the posts above but there are no mentions of any tweaks related to this model. Please help.
My specifications are: CPU- Intel core i5-8300H(8 cpus), 2.30ghz
                                               Memory- 16 GB
                                               GPU- Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1060
I have no experience using throttlestop and i would highly appreciate it if someone could provide me the values necessary to reduce temperatures and increase fps of my games, provided i even need to use the software.

Did you change the - "Plugged in %" to 99% or the "On battery"?

i have a predator PH315-51, I had those same problems when i first got the laptop but i was able to bring down the average cpu temps while playing games by 20 degrees Celsius by undervolting the core voltage offset by -145.0V  and using a fan base. from my experience -145.0V seems to work best

I tried to play it a bit safer by putting the core voltage and cache offset to -120.0mV and gpu voltage to -60.0mV but i was getting a blue screen of death after playing for about 30 minutes. I raised it to -100.0mV and -50.0mV and it seems to be working fine now, but it only improved the temperature by 2-3 degrees. I also had to tweak with core turbo ratio limits otherwise changing the voltage in itself wasn't providing any difference. Moreover, i had to elevate the back of my laptop for better airflow, which in turn gave me another 2 degrees. I am just wondering if all this work is even worth it just for the sake of a few degrees. Need some solid and lasting solutions. Really want to avoid messing around with 3rd party softwares which i have no knowledge about.

also a cooling pad might help a bit.
Tips 1: For gaming laptop make sure before you shut down especially after a heavy gaming session to let it cool down for at least 10min before you switch it off!

I've also been getting weird lag spikes on any game i play when my charger is plugged in. I noticed its the same regardless if i play a game from 2002 or 2019. When i turn off the charger, this issue gets solved. Do i need to tweak something in my power options? i change power mode to performance while gaming.

    Don't. Leave it on balanced.

Theres no need to shut it down if properly optimized/undervolted and repasted (if still needed)  theres no issues mine it always on on AC since day 1 non stop for 21 months now never had a single issue and when i play hard i play 10h+ non stop

Initially it was set to balanced. The reason i changed it to performance was because i was hoping the lag would go away. Need a better solution to this problem.

PriyamMitra if theres no changes repasting its the only solution because undervolting doesnt perform miracles if you have bad thermal paste i suggest kryonaut or similar :)
