The E3-112, ES1-111 & V3-112P all use Bay Trail chipsets and CPUs, which are not compatible with Windows 11. Use Windows 10 with those (they came with Windows 8.1 originally) and the drivers from the Acer site and they should work.

So in my case, drivers for v3-112p, not for es1-111? Because the drivers from the Acer site didn't make the touchpad work.

The drivers successfully worked with win11 on my laptop. They also work nonow, that's why I think that they are not the reason for the touchpad…

Win11 can not be installed on cpu older than 5th generation, if I am not wrong. But that's all about a registry changing, then it becomes compatible.

Same about some TVs - you spend much more for a model with these or those options, while I spend less for a model without them. But both models have all those options which are just hidden (locked) in the cheaper model. And once finding the way to unlick them all, then we both have one and the same tv, but you spent much more…

You have the wrong motherboard in your system, since you put the motherboard for a V3-112P in your ES1-111. Any motherboard devices need to use the V3-112P drivers. Any devices that aren't part of the motherboard should use the drivers form the ES1-111 support site. You should be able to tell in Device Manager which touchpad is installed and use the appropriate drivers for that hardware. Both the ES1-111 and V3-112P use the same internal interface to connect to the touchpad, a combination of I2C and PS2. So on both machines the touchpad will look the same. If you don't show a touchpad or an unidentified device in Device Manager then likely the cable isn't well connected to is broken. If it shows up and doesn't work in Windows, does it work in the BIOS? That would point toward the issue being a Windows software issue or hardware.

Probably you saw the screenshots of the Device manager (the previous page here) - HID Compliant Mouse shown only. Missing touchpad everywhere.

And is the cable plugged in correctly? Is there a chance the cable has been damaged in any way? The cable has connectors on each end and they both have to be fully seated in the connectors before it will be recognized.

Actually I was thinking about that and I opened the laptop not once to check the cable. I have a strong magnifying glass used by the clock repairmen. Actually I don't even see a way to be plugged incorrectly in the socket. I carefully inspected it on both sides through the loupe and nothing seems to be not fine.

pro tip: connect your laptop via HDMI to an external display to check if you get a signal out from the laptop. If you get a signal , this means that only your display or the display connector cable has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Your CPU and iGPU are fine. Let me know the exact model of your laptop and any updates after checking if you get an HDMI signal out first.

OK, that might be something that helps point toward the issue. I have a lot of things under HID:

Of course, I have a different model laptop, but I'd still expect a lot more than just two items.

I see, but there are only two devices in my laptop as I wrote in my previos reply. How do you think this may help?

Just some further assistance and a guide, have a look here at a similar problem that you are having and how it is diagnosed and fixed, as it could be the main power rail mosfet or capacitors, EC chip, Chipset, gpu etc etc

Just as a reminder to all, the mainboard has been replaced. The issue now is an unresponsive touch pad in a claimed customized unofficial Win11 version. Neither old nor new mainboards are currently listed as officially Win11 compatible.

So it looks very much like the Windows install is having issues. Try going back to a version of Windows that's supported on your machine.

How did you conclude that by the screenshot from above? Please, explain. Because as I already wrote not once that the touchpad didn't work even BEFORE installing this Windows 11, i.e. since I installed the new motherboard.

Then please show screenshot of Device Manager in the official Windows version that is actually supported by Acer on your new mainboard. At the same time, also show screenshot of this official Win10 or Win8x version number by pressing Win+R. Then entering winver. Then post screenshot of winver result.

All the missing devices on your system leads me to believe the Windows install has issues. Since you are trying to do some sort of non-supported Windows install, I'm guessing they have limited your system in some way.
