This youtube video shows you how to do a reset.

If you would rather clean install vanilla Windows 10........here's what I would try.

    1. Download the 32 bit Windows 10 ISO from here.
    2. Download rufus.
    https://rufus.ie/
    3. Create your Windows 10 32 bit installation media with rufus.....with rufus settings:  UEFI (non CSM), GPT, FAT32
    4. Go in to your S1003 BIOS settings and enable the F12 boot menu and save/exit
5..Boot your Windows USB by tapping F12 at Acer POST logo
    6. Select Custom Installation and delete all of your partitions on your 64GB eMMC.
    7. Click "Next" and the Windows installer will do the rest.
    8.  Read this thread.

    9. After you've successfully installed Windows and it's working ok, I would update BIOS.

I have never used an S1003.  I'm pretty sure your S1003 has a 32 bit UEFI.....so you must use 32 bit Windows.

Here is a Microsoft Update Assistant (Probably better to try this before you attempt a clean install)

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3159635/windows-10-update-assistant

Here's instructions for USB recovery drive (do this first if you haven't already).

    https://uk.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38145/~/windows-10%3A-create-a-usb-recovery-drive-using-acer-care-center

If you need to go back to previous version of Windows.

If you have more questions or need help with drivers, you can try asking @ForesterRed or @dsfdfgdfg or start a new topic

If you'd rather order your OEM recovery media from Acer........

That's all I've got.  Good luck.

I forgot to mention.....I remember reading that a couple said that you need to use an OTG adapter if you’re going to clean install. But not sure on that.

I’m not sure if you need to disable secure boot.
Hopefully @Fo@ForesterRed and @ds@dsfdfgdfg can have more details on how it works and whether or not you can update to 1903 or 1909.

If my clean install instructions don’t work, try technique in video in link below.

You can't upgrade the Acer ONE 10 S1003 with anything as its got a standard memory of 2GB non-removable and a storage drive form factor  onboard so, you are stuck with whatever your specked Acer ONE 10 S1003 has!

If all else fails, you've got the puppy-linux technique.

And @mdx90 might be so kind as to share his method.

hello? my Acer ONE 10 has 4 GB of ram and 64 GB of internal storage as mentioned in the title, there are three variants ram/internal storage: 2:32 , 4:64 an 8:128 , i have the middle variant, even if the last would have been even better (and maybe with a 64 Bit version of Windows)

Both the 4GB and 8GB variants should have come with 64bit installed. Only the 2GB version came with 32bit.

unfortunately even the 4/64 version has a 32 bit Windows 10

I could see that, since the 32 address space is exactly 4GB, though they usually reserve a bit for internals, leaving less than 4GB for the system to use...

Any success doing a clean install? I'm not able to do a clean install. The first photo says that "there was an unsuspected reboot and there was an error, Windows installation cant proceed, Accept to reboot and try again", the device reboots and the problem persist. I tried to do a clean windows install and I get the second picture when the bootable USB is connected to the USB port on the Keyboard or via the micro-USB with an OTG.

Did you wipe the drive as part of the install, at that point where it asks about partitions? It may be running out of room if some of the old partitions are still there.

i've also tried some time ago to clean install Windows 10 from an ISO, but it always fails to the final phase, apparently there is no way to upgrade, especially if Acer itself doesn't provide any official news, i'm able to install Fedora, but both wi-fi and bluetooth doesn't work even with ndiswrapper, i also have a working receiver for my logitech mouse but of course it takes the only usb port avaiable (so i need a micro-usb to usb adapter for the same port usually designed to charge the tablet), are we really stuck to the 1803 version of Windows 10? because, just to make an example, the vault in onedrive doesn't work in any release prior to the last one

You can verify with the Update Readiness Tool from Microsoft, but I haven't seen any issues with installing the latest 20H2 release with an S1003, unless trying it as an update when there isn't enough free space. With a 64GB eMMC drive installed there should be plenty of room, though it might need some cleaning to get that room to be available.
