I tried to go to History.com with my Acer Spin 513 and it wouldn't even load. I used Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin without any problem. I think that perhaps the problem is with the site. I have no problem running History Channel videos from YouTube.

Today there was a significant update to the Spin 513 Chrome OS and the VPN now installs itself when it boots. There was also an update for all Android apps. I'm assuming this is all due to the new processor from MediaTek settling in. For me, it works wonderfully.

I suppose I'd like to see another Spin 714/MS Word user chime in. FWIW, my Spin 714 has a touchscreen and Acer says in the specs that the Spin 714 has a touchscreen. I've seen chromebooks where one model with have a touchscreen and a non-touchscreen version but Spin 714 doesn't seem to be one.

I had a similar problem and did a reset by holding the refresh key down--the key with the arrow going in a circle--and pressed the power button, held until my backlight came on and released it. Chromebook started up and the problem hasn't recurred.

For me, I just switched over to beta channel and got OS 110.
-
For what it's worth, my CP714-1WN-53M9 doesn't have that problem.
-
I switched to the beta channel and had Chrome OS 110. I switched back to the stable channel and got Chrome OS 107 and it wouldn't update to 109. I have no idea why but Acer seems determined on this. I have Spin 714-1WN-53M9.

First, I'm 81-years-old and I play no games on my chromebook. Not only am I 81 but so are my eyes and ears. As with some of you, I have a Spin 713 and just wanted to play with the Spin 714. I got my Spin 714 this morning. I had watched, more than once, the review of the Spin 714 by Robby Payne on Chrome Unboxed. I have no…

I started this thread twenty-six months ago. I thought I should give an update. I don't remember how long I dithered, not very long, I'm sure, but I just pulled the little rubber thingie off and forgot about it. I've used the Spin 713 every day since then and I've had absolutely no problems. I'm fairly happy with the Spin…

This morning I deleted all Google Photos apps, two, and downloaded a new PWA. I've been playing with it and it seems to be functioning properly.
-
By about six days but I'm in Mexico and Acer isn't.
-
I went to Google Photo help and chatted with a tech, did what he said, and nothing helped. That's it.
-
I've done powerwash, more than once. Didn't help. Cleared caches. Didn't help. Uninstalled app and reinstalled, didn't help. As I said, it works for one edit and then when it goes to save the second edited photo it exits the program and sometimes says it's not responding.
-
No. I can edit one photo and then when I try to edit a photo it simply exits the program and if I wait I get a message that says the program isn't responding. The Google Photo Website works but lacks some features I like that are in the Google App.

Okay, I've been on the computer pretty much non-stop for 4.5 hours and the battery level is reported as 33%.

I have had my Spin 713 since August, 2021. I don't know that I can help much. Here's what I have. I get a message that says, "Not Compatible With Your Device". No option to download.
-
A mistake. It will load on the Lenovo but it won't run. Lenovo says I need to update the Google app but as with the Spin 713 I can't download the Google app.

On an Acer Spin 713 it's Esc+Refresh+Power. And, yes I tried that and it did nothing. Acer recommended that once before when the Spin 713 wouldn't even boot and it worked a charm.
