Hi there, guess we had the same situation. You may refer to my existing thread for some troubleshooting as advised by the members. At the moment I don't know what the real issue is, the game will forcibly close and return back to desktop without any error. I will do further troubleshooting when I'm free later.

Do you mind stating down what SSD you bought? I'm curious what SSD you bought since you said the connector is different. Judging from the model (previously I owned AN515-45), there is only 1 slot for NVMe SSD and 1 slot for 2.5" SSD. So I'm assuming you might had bought the wrong type of SSD.

#5 - Conflict with your antivirus software. Try add the folder or game .EXE file in the exception list; - Only using Windows Defender #6 - Disable Game Mode in Windows; - Already disable #7 - Insufficient Virtual Memory size. Try adjust it; - Setting at 4000MB #8 - Try disable Overlays (Discord, etc); - No additional apps…

Just a quick update, the issue still persisted even though I had use DDU in safe mode. Below are the games tested recently after new BIOS v1.21 and Nvidia 566.14 a. Football Manager 2024 - runs perfectly without any hiccups b. CoD: Modern Warfare - same issue, managed to load the game's front page and closed itself c.…

I might just give a wild comment, did your laptop set to maximum performance in the "Power Plan" option? I'm not referring to the NitroSense Power Plan. Previously I had a conflict between NitroSense and Windows "Power Plan", whereby Windows "Power Plan" took over from NitroSense regardless of any setting I made in…

Confirmed with BIOS v1.21, the hardware reserved RAM had been reduced significantly as per the screenshot. (2.3GB → 300MB) 💪 I wish they come out the BIOS much earlier before upgrading from 8GB to 16GB just to solve this issue. 😓

Hi there, you might look into the "Power Options" on the advanced setting. You need to change both the "Processor Power Management" as below:- a. Minimum power state - both setting 100% b. Maximum power state - both setting 100% Hope this helps to boost the clockspeed.

#1 - Check that there are no disconnection problems on your network - I'm using LAN connection direct from Router, so no connection interruption #2 - Check that your GPU isn't overheating - Put an air cooler below the laptop and the temp is manageable #3 - Try downgrading the NVIDIA GeForce driver - Will try to use DDU…

If I understand your problem, you are swapping out the old SSD with the new SSD. This will of course trigger "Reboot and select proper boot" because the new SSD (1TB) is without Operating System (OS). What I would suggest either clone the new SSD or use the new SSD as your gaming drive.

My bad for overlooking the type. SSD power consumption is very low compared to traditional HDD. My suspect would be the motherboard connector giving problem. If you have another spare SSD, maybe it will pin-point to more exact problem.
-
There was no error logged into the "Reliability Monitor" and nothing on the "View all the problems". It there anymore possibility might cause this weird behavior?
-
Since you had tested the SATA HDD on PC and is working, so the problem might be coming from the ribbon cable. Did you insert the ribbon securely to the motherboard? Do you have spare ribbon cable to test?

I think I roughly get your idea. I assume the lanes distribution might follow such that x8@4.0 shared between the GPU (RTX4050) and the original SSD (each getting x4@4.0).
-
I'm running both 8GB x 2 (SR). Original configuration was only 8GB x 1 (SR). At least now the laptop is working as it should, and additional ram helps to load more apps.😅
-
Thanks for the info but based on Intel spec sheet, TechPowerUp and Notebookcheck.net it supposed to have enough PCIE lanes dedicated to the GPU. Notebookcheck.net (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-13420H-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.677510.0.html) 2. TechPowerUp…

I think the current situation can't be resolve/rectified until ACER issue a new BIOS. Else you got to add in additional 1 stick of ram, like what I did to my current system.
-
Finally I decided to add another stick of 8GB ram instead of waiting for a new BIOS to fix the hardware reserved issue. I hope ACER will come out with the fixed BIOS the soonest.

I feel you because both of us basically have the same amount of 8GB ram. I can only open 1 apps at a time. This is my screenshot of the ram usage with just Microsoft Edge running. And this laptop is only 4 days old.
-
I got this new laptop 4 days ago and updated to Bios 1.18. And the "Hardware Reserved Ram is stuck at 2.3GB". To make things worse, I only had 8GB ram installed and this had caused my apps can't load properly. Is there any temporary solution to reduce this amount?
