    Eu creio que o problema não esteja na placa de rede sem fio. Você já verificou se o roteador está transmitindo o sinal em potência máxima?

    Deve haver alguma opção para aumentar a potência do sinal wifi. No entanto, eu acho que você não deve se preocupar, se o sinal wifi está apresentando três ou quatro traços, pois isso depende de vários fatores.
