How many M.2 slots do you have? Does it mention on any of them something like SATA or NVMe or such? I am not sure of your hardware, but maybe this slot is possibly a SATA slot?

I cross checked this item on my laptops at home, and none exhibit this behavior. What i can think of next is possibly an issue with your current display driver. The laptop screen is driven primarily by the integrated graphics card - try to uninstall existing driver and use the driver from Acer site. Also, disable bios and…

if there are m.2 slots, the one that takes SATA will have SATA written on it - this is what it said on my Nitro with 2 m.2 slots. If it does not say SATA, in all possibility, it will not accept SATA.

@WillemSznicer Let us do some troubleshooting here. Can you set the resolution to standard 1920x1080 (16:9) or corresponding 16:10 ratio and set the scaling to 125% and let us know the experience. Ignore what windows says, it may not always be right on dot.

Did you check if the slot shows nvme or sata? unless a port supports both, you cannot swap them out. Your laptop has PCIe M.2 NVMe slot and SATA will not go into it.

On Amazon for $70 👍🏼

Oh cool. Let me check it out. Thank you.

I tried using the 65W and 140W type C chargers, but unfortunately this laptop does not allow for USB type C charging - it says "you plugged in power into a port that does not accept power input".

Did you try checking your local website? —> https://store.acer.com/en-gb/professional-customers-contact?sku=NH.QQUEK.002

As @Puraw mentioned, using IRST drivers should help. Did you download the right set of IRST drivers?
-
Do you have photos taken (as proof) when you were giving the laptop to service center?

You cannot fix what is not broken. Your system is not broken to fix, it is just that your laptop pulls more power than the bundled 135W charger can supply when using demanding work. You know, my Alienware came with a whopping 330W charger - that charger alone weighs over 1 kg. Carrying it around is a pain, even when i use…

Many people on here have been dealing with systems from before that. Personally, I have been dealing with PCs from the 286 era. What I would suggest is than come across saying "don't repeat what I know", skip that part and see if what is mentioned has something you could use. There are many a times even experts may…

@Faust I meant more of technical aspects. What is your SSD speed - this matters the most. Turning bitlocker on and off doesn't effect speed more than a second or two. What is your RAM speed - this matters the most. Virtual memory - do not disable this; legacy apps may fail; however you may set it to a small amount - like 2…
-
@Faust Tell me your hardware configuration - including free space and hard disk setup on your system. Also include the virtual memory. Windows 10 and Windows 11 on all my laptops take about 15-20 seconds from cold boot or under 10 seconds to wake up from hibernate mode. So there could be something on your system that could…

Some swift series laptops have this issue, in fact even some Nitro. Even with power off USB power is turned on, it still keeps draining power.

Does your ESC key have a small LED on it? This indicates you have Fn-Esc lock. If there is no LED you don't have the function key switch option. Not all laptops have this switchable option. Unless you mention laptop model there is no way to ascertain if it supports Fn-Esc lock.

Yes, you can. You would need to find minimum wattage your laptop needs. For example, my Dell (non gaming) and Lenovo (gaming) laptops each take 90W and 140W chargers, and need a minimum of 65W to allow charging. I got myself a travel power bank with 20,000 mAh and 70W output, and use the type C port to charge my laptops. I…

That won't help - for no battery will push power at peak levels like it was at 100% when its power is at or 30%. This is very normal. Below is an example. Notice how voltage drops to below 12 on a 12V battery from around 30% mark. Output is determined as V x I (voltage x current). Current remains constant but voltage drops…

Look up threads from 2-3 years ago and you'll see multiple threads on this item. I had tested this out on my Nitro 5 with both 180W charger from US and 135W charger when traveling overseas. It it normal to use battery even when connected to power when using laptop at peak levels. You can test this out by running a normal…
