  • Here is a website I use when I want to see how GPU compare: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-Mobile-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Mobile/m164336vsm211022 It says nearly a 2x increase. I'm not sure if I completely believe that, but you'll probably want to ask what types of games you'll be playing or want to be…
  • The new World of Warcraft expansion is taking up most of my time right now. I main a Vengeance Demon Hunter and when I'm when I want to PVP, I have a Survival Hunter. I'm really looking forward to the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 coming out next week. I haven't touched a battle royale game since the COD beta weekend.
  • It sounds like you have everything going in the right direction. I don't think it's likely to be an issue, but make sure you're using the DP cable that came with the monitor or a relatively new one. 1.0 and 1.1 DP cables don't support 144hz @ 1440p. Also, assuming your on Windows 10, check the refresh rate here:* Right…
  • Unfortunately, I am not able to provide if or when specific monitor will be available for sale in a region, but I can help with the panel specs. The Predator X27 has 10bit color.
  • Thanks for the feedback @meshswapnil. Hopefully we can get another couple of confirmations. I'll work to make sure the contact center and the content team know so they can make sure others with this issue can find the answer a bit easier.
  • @Roland_Lorinczi It looks like the same driver is available for the PH317-52 if you are able to give it a try. Here's the link to the Drivers & Manuals page for that product: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7602?b=1
  • Hi all, For the AN515-53, could I ask you all to try the updated Intel driver from our support site? I believe this will correct the issue with video not playing on videos. Here is the link to the driver. Link to AN515-53 Drivers & Manual: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7571?b=1 Link to the specific…
  • Hi All, I was doing some reviews and I ran across this topic and I started researching. On the AN515-51 there is a safety switch inside the RAM bay door that I think may be causing problems. The switch is designed to prevent shock and make sure people aren't inside the system with power still flowing through it. Could this…
  • Hi IainOb1, I'm sorry to hear that you're not thrilled with the monitor. I certainly understand that it is big investment and you want an amazing experience. To describe it as appalling is certainly a concern and one that I hate to see when describing this monitor. One issue is I'm not sure what level of ghosting or…
  • Hi All, Sorry I missed the responce from Chamainewho. A couple of suggestions that I can suggest would be to make sure that the contacts are clean. If there is a little bit of grime, q-tips and a small amount of rubbing alcohol would be the best way to clean them. If the problem continues, I might suggest doing a system…
  • Hi lj0000, Any complaint of a charger smoking while in use needs to be investigated as we certainly understand and share the concern. I would recommend not using the charger and contacting your local support team as soon as possible to identify options to get this resolved for you. Thanks, Cory
  • Hi Neal, Sorry the wait, but a new OS version has been uploaded to our download platform and is available. OSAcerThis image is on for WW_GEN1 and upgrade from Acer_AV [...]RV01RC51.WW.GEN114.6 MB2016/06/29Download Thanks, Cory
  • I don't have an ETA. I'm having to go back to my headquarters in TWN. They clarified a few things with me today and said they would get back to me. I don't expect it to take more than a couple of days for followup. Cory
  • Hi guys, I haven't seen complaints about the wireless and/or bluetooth stopping after resume from sleep other than here, but I've now seen a handful of people mention it. Is this still an issue? I ask because occassionally, we'll see MS updates that cause problems and are then fixed without formal acknowledgement. We'd…
  • Me too! It seems like the technology is just getting started with the 1440p 144hz range. 4k is nearly 3x the pixels of 1440p so I suspect it will take some time to get something that is top end affordable.
  • Hi guys, So, I see a lot cases where users have video cards that just can't push 144hz @ 1440p. On the Nvidia side, it is a GTX 780+ that is needed. I'm not 100% sure about the AMD side, but I'd suspect a R9 390 to do so. As far as the pixels go, I'd recommend contacting support as it is something they can help you with.…

  • Hi Bob, Sorry for the confusion here. We've taken this feedback and shared it with our web team and the team responsible for drivers. One other way that may help you is to use your Acer ID, it's the same one you created and linked to your Acer Community account. You can access it here; http://account.acer.com and then…
  • Hi guys, Monitor drivers are just fancy text files that serve two main purposes. Tell Windows what to call the monitor, and what resolutions it can support. Windows has basic support for the 2560x1080 so it's pretty limiting in what it can do. Microsoft driver certification is not free and ultimately, that cost is absorbed…
  • Hi Aleksicc, I'm sorry that you're having issues with your phone. Could you send me a private message with your Serial Number and Contact Information? I'll be glad to escalate this to our support team. Cory
