  • The performance on the nexus 9 is just about greater than the shield, I'd rather have the nexus 9 than this piece of garbage I'm so glad I'm getting my nexus 9 from amazon next week, I love Acer I truly do heck I have 2 of the aspire laptops and I'm using an Acer desktop monitor but its really annoying to still be on…
  • You're never getting that update, that device is at least 3yrs old now and the hardware would barely be able to even run lollipop, the nexus 7 2012 already struggles with lollipop and it has much better specs than the 810 so imagine how slow the 810 would be with lollipop, just stick to whatever OS version you're on now…
  • This is the 3rd time you asked this question and we keep telling you the iconia tab series is android only, please stop asking for windows to be on ANDROID ONLY devices.
  • This is a frequently ask question around the forums, and all we can say is as of now?, NO! But keep checking for system updates daily and check out the new Acer Iconia tablets that ship with lollipop!
  • You might have to switch the charging block or the usb cable, try both, and if it doesn't work then hopefully you have waranty on your device so you can send it in for repair or a new unit!
  • Not at the moment, but please keep checking for system updates daily.
  • Youtube is usually pre-installed but if you mean facebook videos, there's an actual Facebook app in the PlayStore. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.katana
  • Yes it is!,Long-press any empty part of the Home screen. (The empty part is any place you don’t see a shortcut icon or widget.) For a long-press, touch the screen and keep your finger down. A Wallpaper menu will appear. From there you can choose to set it from your gallery or from the stock wallpaper menu and choose your…
  • Some of those are actually removable while some are important to keeping your device working properly, removing those apps requires you to have a rooted device which you can look up on by yourself since rooting isn't allowed too be talked about here.
  • It is possible for you to uninstall most of them if you have root, keep in mind that doing so may void your warranty but if you have a case on your tablet or feel like you can protect your device, and don't need the warranty then you can root and use titanium backup to uninstall some preloaded apps.
  • Yes the Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30 model has lollipop equipped as well as an x64/86 intel proccesor inside! Really the Tab 8 FHD/HD would be a good choice in terms of portability but really both the Tab 10 and Tab 8 are almost equally good to buy!
  • Yeah, I know right! Okay so try to unplug your router/modem and wait 30 seconds and plug it back in and log into your WiFi on your tablet and see if it stays!
  • Have you tried factory resetting your tablet to see if that helps? If so do so.
  • So what's the latest on the tab 8 getting lollipop? I see there is two more new iconia tabs coming out with lollipop http://www.zdnet.com/article/computex-2015-acer-launches-two-new-iconia-one-android-tablets/ despite just last month the second iconia one 8 was announced with lollipop as well, so is the tab 8 getting 5.0…
  • Only the FHD version has the 2gb of ram storage.
  • You are indeed correct mike, this is a very important update for intel x86 devices but at the same time Acer is just releasing new tablets that have the same specs as previous generation tablets but with lollipop and simply just avoiding to release OTA updates for the original devices, so I think its going to be a very…
  • Yes, its rather a mystery as to win this tablet will be getting the lollipop update, but considering the not so perfect battery life on this tablet, I wouldnt want to get lollipop anyway! But this is the latest in the Iconia Tab A1 series so its definetly a must buy the specs are incredible and it can run most games lag…
  • What is the issue specifically, can you give me more details of your problem? Also have you factory reseted the device to try to see if it would connect to wifi?
  • Theres 2 versions of the device and HD cheaper version and the FHD version the battery isnt that great but it isnt bad it usally last like 6 1/2-8 hrs for me as long as you dont play highly graphical games too long or have the brightness up and change some of the settings for the device then the battery should last a while.
  • While talking about rooting isn't allowed here, you can go to the XDA hacking forums there are a few threads about rooting Acer iconia Intel devices and such.
