What is the issue specifically, can you give me more details of your problem?

Also have you factory reseted the device to try to see if it would connect to wifi?

When you search for WiFi signals, does it find them? When you try to connect does it give an error message? There are a lot of pieces that come together when connecting to a network and we'll have to try and isolate which is failing.

The range is about 3 inches from the modem. If I go further away it will disconnect.

Have you tried factory resetting your tablet to see if that helps? If so do so.

I DIDNT REALLY WHAT TO RESET IT. Do you have any other suggestions. Everyone's says factory reset about any problem with a tablet.

Yeah, I know right! Okay so try to unplug your router/modem and wait 30 seconds and plug it back in and log into your WiFi on your tablet and see if it stays!

Actually, what is usually the problem when you have that symptom is the cable that connects the antenna to the WiFi card has come loose internally. There are actually two antennas and both of the connectors are really, really small and tough to get fully seated. It's not too unusual for one or both to work loose after a few months of moving the tablet around. If you are still under warranty, have Acer fix it for you, if you are out of warranty either do the fix yourself or find someone technically skilled enoough to do it for you. It shouldn't be too expensive, a half hour or less of time...

yes, as Billsey said, can be a loose cable antenna.

about all saying to do a factory reset.....

on android devices, you don't have a lot of possibility to fix some issue:

    clear data of applications

factory reset if the problem is related to system

try to boot on safe mode and uninstall applications that hangs or reboot the device

so....you can understand that there's no magic trick do solve some issues.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
