Plugging in and/or unplugging the charger of your Acer ES Series 3 or 5 eScooter incorrectly, can cause serious damage to the pins on the inside of the charging port and/or the charger plug.
The instructions below explain how to properly plug in and unplug the charger of your Acer ES Series 3 or 5 eScooter. To prevent any damage, please follow the instructions carefully.
Note: Damage to your e-scooter charging port or plug resulting from improper use may not be covered by your Acer limited warranty.
Before plugging in the charger
- Locate the charging port on the left deck side of your e-scooter.
- Open the rubber cap of the charging port.
- Check the charging port to see if there are any damages to the port.
- Spotted damages? Stop using the e-scooter and contact your service provider for support.
- No damages? Continue with step 4.
- Take the charger and inspect the charger plugs to see if there are any damages to the plug.
- Spotted damages? Stop using the charger and get an official Acer replacement charger before charging your e-scooter again.
- No damages? Continue with How to plug in the charger properly.
How to plug in the charger properly
- Grab the charger plug that needs to go into your e-scooter with your thumb and index finger.
⚠ DO NOT hold it by the cable.
- Hold the charger plug in a 90-degree angle from the charging port/side of the e-scooter deck.
⚠ DO NOT hold the charger plug in an upward, downward, left or right angle. - Then gently insert the charger plug into the charging port in a straight line. Maintain the 90-degree angle as described in the previous step.
⚠ DO NOT use excessive force.
- You can now let go of the charger plug and the rubber charging port cap.
When the charger is plugged in
- DO NOT wiggle the connector or the cable.
- DO NOT pull or tug on the charger cable.
How to unplug the charger properly
- Grab the charger plug that is plugged into the charging port of your e-scooter with your thumb and index finger.
⚠ DO NOT hold it by the cable. - Make sure you are holding the charger plug in a 90-degree angle from the charging port/side of the e-scooter deck.
⚠ DO NOT hold the charger plug in an upward, downward, left or right angle. - Then gently pull the charger plug out of the charging port in a straight line. Maintain the 90-degree angle as described in the previous step.
⚠ DO NOT use excessive force.
- Now push the rubber cap onto the charging port again to prevent any dirt or moisture from building up/coming in the charging port.
