How to Change the Operating System Language in Windows 11

You can change the language that the Windows 11 operating system uses if you prefer to see your menus, settings, dialogue boxes and notifications in another language. This will also allow you to use different keyboard layouts that will better support other languages. Use the instructions below to change your OS language.

Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙, or you can press Windows ⊞ + I to quickly open the Settings app.
Click on Time & language in the left menu.
Select Language & region.
Choose a language from the drop down, or click on Add language to add a new language.
Select the options and features you want to use for your new language, then click Install.
You will need to sign out and back into Windows to see your new language settings.
