A recent Windows 11 operating system update may cause the USB ports on your AXC-840 to stop working. If you are experiencing this issue, you can use the instructions below to uninstall the latest Windows OS update.
Note: Microsoft has removed the update and subsequent updates should work properly.
How to uninstall the latest Windows 11 update
Step 1: Enter Windows Recovery Environment
There are two ways to access Windows Recovery:
- If system is currently powered on; Power off the system by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Press the power button again to turn on the system and quickly tap the Alt + F10 keys at the same time to enter Recovery Mode.
- If the system is powered off, Power on the system and press the ALT + F10 keys at the same time to enter Recovery Mode. If your system boots to a login screen or the Windows Desktop, please use step 1.
Step 2: Uninstall the latest quality update:
- In Windows Recovery screen, select Troubleshoot from the main menu.
- On the Troubleshoot screen, select Advanced options.
- In the Advanced options screen, select Uninstall Updates.
- You will be given two options:
- Uninstall the latest quality update
- Uninstall the latest feature update
- Choose to Uninstall the latest quality update
- You will be prompted to confirm the action. Enter the administrator credentials if prompted. Select Uninstall quality update
Step 3: Restart the Computer
- Once the uninstallation process is completed, select Continue to exit and restart Windows.
