How do I turn the lights of my Acer ebii e-bike on and off?
Surround Lighting System
Your Acer ebii e-bike is decked out with a surround lighting system. The strategically placed lights on the front, rear and sides of your e-bike increase your visibility and safety on the road by informing anyone of your next move.
Daytime Running Lights
Acer incorporated a circular light in the head light of your e-bike, which serves as a Daytime Running Light. This DRL increases your visibility and safety when riding during the day.
Light sensor-controlled
The lights of your Acer ebii e-bike are automatically automatically turned on, when you unlock your Acer ebii e-bike and raise the kickstand, and they are controlled by a light sensor. Depending on how light or dark it is when you turn your e-bike on, the light sensor determines which lights should be on: during the daytime only the circular DRL is turned on, and when it gets darker the headlight and taillight are switched on.
However, if necessary, you can always switch between the lights manually. For instructions on how to switch between the lights manually, follow the instructions below.
Note: When you lower the kickstand to park your e-bike, all lights will automatically be turned off.
How to switch between the lights on the Acer ebii e-bike
- Locate the button on the left of the handlebar. Refer to the image below.
- Press and hold the left button for one second to switch between the circular and headlight.
- Press and hold the left button for one second again to switch back.
Note: After manually switching between the headlight and circular light, the headlight and taillight are no longer controlled by the light sensor. You need to turn your e-bike off and on again to reactivate the light sensor. For instructions, refer to How to Power Your Acer ebii e-Bike On and Off.
