The refresh rate of your monitor refers to the frequency at which the screen is updated. The refresh rate is measured in units of Hz. This number will generally be between 60 to 500 images per second (60 Hz - 500 Hz). You may want to check your refresh rate to make sure your monitor can handle the frames per second (FPS) of a game or software you intend to use. Use the instructions below to check the refresh rate of your display in Windows 11.
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
- Click on Display and select Advanced Display.
- Locate Display Information to see your refresh rate.
- Click on the dropdown menu in the section labeled Choose a Refresh Rate and select your desired refresh rate setting.
