You may need to have Windows forget a wireless network that you have previously connected to if you do not want your device to automatically connect to it in the future. You can use the instructions below to forget a wireless network in Windows 11.
- Click on the Wireless Network icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select Network & Internet in the left column.
- Click on Wi-Fi on the right.
- Click on Manage known networks.
- Select the network you want to forget and click on the Forget button to remove the network from your list of known networks.
If you want to keep the network saved on your computer, but no longer connect automatically, you can use the instructions below.
- Click on the Wireless Network icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select Network & Internet in the left column.
- Click on Wi-Fi on the right.
- Click on Show Available Networks.
- Select the network you no longer want to connect to automatically, then uncheck the box next to Connect automatically.
Note: Once you have forgotten a network, you will need to enter the network password again if you want to connect to it in the future.
