The date and time settings on a Windows 11 computer are automatically set up as soon as you connect to the internet. However, you also have the option to change these settings manually if your date and time are not displaying correctly.

How to change date and time
- Click the Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙, or use Windows + I to quickly open Settings.
- Select Time and Language > Date and Time.
- In the Date and Time settings windows, you can set time and date automatically or manually.
- To use the automatic feature, toggle on Set time automatically to change your time and date to match your current location.
- To use the manual feature, toggle off Set time automatically and click the Change button next to Set the date and time manually. A pop up will appear; to set the new date and time, use the drop-down menu and then click Change to confirm.
In addition to the actual date and time, you can also change the date and time format from the Settings panel. Here is how to do it:
- Click the Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙, or use Windows + I to quickly open Settings.
- Select Time and Language.
- In the right pane, click on the Language and Region tile.
- In the Language and Region settings page, click on Regional format.
- In the drop-down, select Change formats.
- Now you will be able to change the time and date formats.
