How do I reset my computer in Windows 11?

You do not need to have a physical copy of your recovery media to restore your computer. Windows 11 has built in recovery features that allow you to easily restore your operating system without losing your personal data. Use the steps below to reset your computer.

1) Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings⚙.

2) Select System from the left menu and select Recovery.

3) Click on Reset PC.

4) Choose your desired restore option.

Keep my files - Removes apps and settings, but keeps your personal files.
Remove everything - Removes all of your personal files, apps, and settings.

5) Choose how you would like to reinstall Windows.

Cloud Download - Downloads the latest version of Windows 11.
Local reinstall - Reinstalls Windows 11 using the image stored on your computer.

6) Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the recovery process.
