<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="how-do-i-fix-the-error-message-windows-could-not-parse">How do I fix the error message "windows could not parse"?</h3> <p>Notebooks with Windows 10S or Windows 10 Home in S mode may encounter a problem when reloading the operating system. You can temporarily change settings in your CMOS Setup to resolve the issue.</p> <p><br><br><br></p><ol><li>Power on the notebook and immediately press <b>F2</b> to enter the CMOS setup.</li> <li>Select the <b>Security</b> tab.</li> <li>Create a supervisor password</li> <li>Select the <b>Boot</b> tab</li> <li>Change Secure boot to <b>disabled</b>.</li> <li>Press <b>F10</b> to save your changes and exit the CMOS setup.</li> <li>Power on the notebook again and immediately press <b>F2</b> to enter the CMOS setup (login with the supervisor PW).</li> <li>Select the <b>Security</b> tab.</li> <li><b>Clear TPM</b>. If the unit asks you to confirm if you wish to clear the TPM, click <b>Yes</b>. <br></li> </ol><br><p>You should now be able to install the operating system without errors.
